In the end, neither Jiang Wanru nor Ji Ying could bear to leave, so Su Jinrong and Xu Qinghe were sent home.
When Xu Nianhua woke up again, it was to the rich aroma in the air. Opening her eyes, she saw Pei Yicheng stirring up some millet porridge.
"You're awake? The porridge is just warm." Pei Yicheng scooped the porridge out of the thermos, set it aside to cool, and carefully helped her sit up. "Drink some water first, moisten your lips."
"Where's the baby?" Xu Nianhua was hungry, but what she wanted most was to see the child she'd just given birth to.
"Here, let me show you the baby." Jiang Wanru gently picked up the baby, especially lowered herself, and placed the baby right by the bed so Xu Nianhua could get a good look.
"Is this the one I gave birth to?"
Xu Nianhua looked at the sweetly sleeping baby and just felt amazed.
Jiang Wanru chuckled, "Of course it's yours. Don't worry, we watched over you the whole time yesterday. No way the babies could be switched."
