"Brother, the soup you made is really delicious."
Pei Yining contentedly patted her warm belly. A bowl of steaming chicken soup, along with soft and tasty egg cake, filled her stomach to the brim.
The hand Xu Nianhua used to close the lid on the thermos paused. Pei Yining's words reminded her of what Pei Yicheng had said that morning.
"If you like soup, from now on, I'll make it for you. I'm really good at making soup."
Xu Nianhua remembered how Pei Yicheng looked at that moment. It almost felt like he wished he could keep making soup for her for the rest of his life.
In the afternoon, Xu Nianhua was holding a book, reading. Before, she used to figure things out on her own. Now, with a teacher's systematic guidance, things that once confused her suddenly made sense, and learning came much easier.
Her methods from her previous life were good, but now she felt she could go even further.
