Xu Nianhua explained with a smile. She felt like she hadn't stayed in the dorm for ages.
Pei Yining helped carry some things as she and Xu Nianhua walked back toward the dorm. Along the way, they didn't run into any of Xu Nianhua's roommates. Pei Yining said emphatically, "Nianhua, looks like your roommates aren't too thrilled to welcome you back. Maybe you should just come stay at my place instead."
Pei Yining held onto Xu Nianhua's arm as she spoke, practically dragging her back home.
"Maybe they have classes," Xu Nianhua replied, unconcerned. "I'm just moving back into the dorm, it's really not that big of a deal. They don't need to go out of their way to welcome me, wouldn't want to interrupt their classes."
Pei Yining pouted—if it were her, she'd definitely have thrown a welcome party.
