"Not going is just fine, the brick factory's so exhausting. Anyway, the bean sprouts I made last time—the ones we ate yesterday—if you took them to the market, could you sell them for money?" When Xu Nianhua started making bean sprouts, she'd already thought about it: she and Xu Nian'an still had to go to school, so someone else had to handle selling the sprouts.
"Bean sprouts?" Xu Nianji thought of the bean sprouts they'd eaten yesterday, so crisp and fresh, tasty too. He said, "They are good, sure, but aren't there already people selling them?"
"Doesn't matter if someone's already selling. Look at all the different shops around, with so many things for sale—there's never just one person doing it. There are so many people, so much food and things they need."
"And with Mung Bean Jelly too. When Second Brother and I first started selling it, no one else was doing it. But now, lots of people sell it. Still, the Mung Bean Jelly we make every day always sells out, doesn't it?"
