Chapter 238 - Chapter 238: Leaving for the capital.

The preparations were not that extensive since everyone was ready to depart at any given time.

One thing that Paul was wondering about was all the upgrades he made to the mansion, so he contacted the owner to talk about it.

The woman already knew about all the upgrades that Paul made to her property, and was not a bit puzzled about what to do about them.

Paul offered to remove them all and return the mansion to its previous state, but she had already seen how valued these things were by Paul's guests in the past.

Taking that under consideration, she asked Paul to leave them as they are, and she would pay him for them.

In the end, Paul took one crystal coin for all the upgrades and taught the woman how to use it.

As she left, she was seriously contemplating just moving into the mansion with her family, but that would prevent her from earning a ton of money from it, since right now it was the most luxurious mansion in the whole province.

Other than that, Paul and the ladies went around the market and alchemy shops, buying ingredients, as he heard that some are only found in the mortal realm, and their prices can be hundreds, if not thousands, times higher in the upper realms.

Lastly, they went around, saying goodbye to all their friends and acquaintances they made during their stay in the Storm Wave City.

All of this took three days to accomplish, and on the fourth day, they left the mansion for the last time.

That was also the day they said their goodbyes to the province lord and his wife.

-This is way too fast, it seems that we just met not long ago, and you are already leaving for the beginning realm.

Liu Lili said, trying not to cry at the thought that Paul and Su were leaving already.

-I know aunty, and if the circumstances were different, I would have loved to stay down here for a few more years.

Unfortunately, it is what it is, and we can't wait.

On the other hand, you should not have too much of a problem catching up to us once you restart your cultivation and Uncle's duties are fulfilled.

Paul tried to cheer her up.

-He's right mom.

Su chimed in, hugging her mother.

-Also, think about all the fun you and Dad will have while traveling through the realms.

She added, also trying to stop herself from crying.

Su was both excited and terrified at the prospect of leaving the only home she had for her whole life, and the separation from her parents was the worst part of it all.

-Take care of yourselves out there, and try to avoid trouble.

Xiao Han said, hugging them all one by one, as he already considered Paul's ladies as his nieces-in-law.

-We will try to catch up to you as soon as possible.

He added.

-That should not be too hard, especially if you use these.

Paul said, handing his uncle the pills and potions he and his ladies used to enhance their Yang qi and Yin qi.

He also added some of the pills he received from the elves, as he and his ladies didn't use them all up.

-Thank you, Paul.

Xiao Han said, hugging his nephew.

It took them almost an hour after that to finally leave, and once they did, the whole group left for the capital city.

Not wanting to waste time, they used transport spells as much as possible, not worried about the amount they used, as Paul spent the previous month making hundreds of them.

-I can barely believe that it was not even a year ago when we got sent to this world, and here we are preparing to go to another one.

Anna said as they all sat around a campfire in the evening.

-All our lives changed in the last couple of months.

Irine agreed with her.

-You can say that again.

Su added, and all the ladies nodded.

As every one of them had no idea that this would be their life a few months ago.

-The only thing that worries me now is the summons from the emperor, especially since we all got the scrolls, and I can't figure out any reason for that.

Natalie said.

She had hoped never to enter the palace again, as that place gave her the feeling of being in danger the last time she was there.

-You're not the only one, but even my uncle had no idea what this is about, so all we can do is to go and find out.

Paul said, not any less happy about this situation than his ladies.

From his perspective, these summons meant trouble, since they didn't do anything to get rewarded again.

What's more, the summon scrolls were sent to all of them.

Even Rina, Rin, and Ran got their own summon scrolls, which was unprecedented, as even Xiao Han never heard about slaves receiving them.

-No use worrying about it now.

Elaina said, not bothered by this whole situation in the slightest.

-We will learn what this is all about tomorrow, and I seriously doubt that the emperor would make trouble for us.

Especially since he would gain nothing but enemies if he did so.

The elf said calmly.

-You're right, but it still bothers me.

Paul agreed with her despite the feeling that they would not like the reason for being summoned.

Soon, the topic changed to the beginning realm and their ascension.

Everyone speculated what it might be like, since they didn't manage to gather any information about it other than a few snippets, here and there, from people who claimed that they visited the second realm.

The only solid piece of information they got was from Luo Mo, who told them that they would receive some basic introduction to the second realm at the portal site, since some laws and customs differed slightly between the realms.

Not long after that, the ladies went to sleep, leaving Pau,l who volunteered to take the first watch.

With so many people, they split the watch into two-hour parts, at which two ladies would be up while the rest slept.

This was a good way to make everyone used to it, as Paul decided to travel more in the beginning realm, when he realized that he barely moved around in the mortal realm.

Moreover, Lord Sei advised him to do so, as the more they traveled, the more opportunities they could encounter.

Not to mention that they could learn more than by sitting in place and reading books.

The next morning, everyone got ready, and after breakfast, they moved out.

Before they made the last jump, which would bring them right next to the capital, everyone changed their clothes, as they could hardly enter the palace wearing armor.

Their group focused a lot of attention from the moment they arrived, since it was not often that an elf and different kinds of beastkin would form a group, not to mention their group was comprised of a dozen beauties and a devilishly handsome man, and all of them were at the peak stages of cultivation in this realm.

-Let's get this done and leave this realm.

Paul said as they approached the palace gate and presented their summon scrolls to the guards.
