Chapter 226 - C226 : Understandings

Night Silver had returned to the capital, appearing in Renner's fitting room.

"Oh wow, Renren you're so adorable!"

Marquess Pespea struck a prideful pose. And huffed with a confident expression.

"Isn't she! That's my little sister for you. Just the cutest! And now, she's getting married!!!"

Renner became hot, and embarrassed from the compliments, while her big sister, and Goddess mother shared their giggles.

"Thank you, I'm so happy. Even though it's just a formal announcement I will finally have a reason to lure Climb back to my bed!"

Renner, much to the dismay of her fitters, wriggled and swooned as she thought of all the things she would do to her puppy of a husband soon to be.

"Princess… I beg you to stay still."

"Oops, I was just thinking. How after a long day of training, he'll be all tired, I'll have a bath, rub his shoulders, and then bury his face in my chest." Renner said, practically glowing. "Oh how I want to see his flushed red face against my breast." She continued. "Oh mother, will you help me grow bigger? I want ample pillows for him."

"Pfft, of course. You may drink from me whenever I'm around. I never run out so it won't be a problem."

"Truly!!!"

"Yes indeed. Also, just so you know, I've already recognized your union."

Renner blushed harder, with a genuinely large and pleasant smile.

"Really… Then that means I'm already married!" Renner exclaimed, thinking about what comes next. "That means there's no shame in any of my words! I'm going to make him feel good, and myself in the process of course."

"Naturally."

The conversation continued on, with a lot of repetition, and new ideas flowing through the ladies' minds, some of the fitters and maids were quite enthralled by the topics as well… Nemu, who had been enjoying a full platter of snacks and tea, giggled whenever she understood the whole matter behind things.

Marquis Raeven sat in his office in the capital. All of his scheming behind the scenes had been rendered useless by the actions of a single woman…

"To think Goddess All Mother managed to do all of that in a matter of hours. Without even trying to. It just sorta happened…" He groaned…

There was a knock at the door, and a slight pause…

"Darling, you've been cooped up in there for far too long, it's time for lunch."

"Oh, come in, my lovely wife." I can not risk creating even the slightest motive here, The goddess will always take the side of who'd been wronged.

The door opened, in ran a boy of about 5 years old, he was eager to see his papa. Following in after with a stride befitting a noble woman, Marchioness Raeven walked in. Just behind her was a maid with a cart.

"Papa!"

"Little Lii! Papa's so happy to see you!" Marquis Raeven swooned, smothering his son with a bunch of tickles, and quick kisses.

"Papa! That tickles Hehehe."

"Darling, it's not good for a child's development to baby them so much."

"Oh that's a load of nonsense. I'll love my kids no matter what."

"I knew it would be easier to bring lunch to you, than to bring you to lunch." She said with a sigh, feigning the strict composure she had. Because despite it all, she refused to be strict all the time too.

"Thank you… I've been out of it recently, please forgive me."

"I can think of a few ways you can forgive me." She smiled… "But first, it's time to eat something. You can tell me all about what happened now."

Some time later, and after much deliberation, and internal thoughts from all of the nobles, they finally realized that it really was their responsibility to manage things. Little did they know at this time, but they had all finally agreed to the measure… That being war… War against the Theocracy.

…

In the meeting chamber again. It didn't take long.

"All in favor." The king's voice boomed out with an odd power behind it.

Each and every noble began pledging their services, all in agreement.

"Good, now. Chief Warrior, I am placing the task of training men to fight. This won't be some small division, it will be several large battalions. Your job is to train these men to rise to the occasion, and fight!"

"Your majesty I, I am honored."

"Now, let's see what Baharuth will do…"

Baharuth Empire, the capital city of Arwintar. The current reigning emperor, Jircniv found himself entertaining a messenger from his rival kingdom. He wasn't pleased with this matter, it interrupted his love making, and was currently not excited to deal with the so-called urgent news.

"So, what is it? Spit it out already."

"Your Grace, Sir. I'm afraid I was given strict orders to burn the message in advance if anyone besides you, and Lord Fluder saw it."

"Your point?"

"It is a message I would die to see unsaid if my orders are not possible. Does your grace want to have been interrupted pointlessly?"

Jircniv clicked his tongue, then waved his hand to send all of the extras out. "Leave us, Fluder will protect me."

""As you wish, my Emperor.""

"Hmm? I said for you to leave."

"With respect Your grace, we do not follow the orders of any mortals, meager or otherwise." A man in high priest clothing said, with a minor shift.

"You test my patience."

"Priests of the Slane Theocracy? You have no business knowing what the message is. It is for the Emperor's eyes only."

"And what of Fluder?"

"Obviously the most trusted aid, and protector would be nearby. Surely you're not obtuse enough to misunderstand that."

The priests left with an obvious bit of frustration. A few seconds went by, and Fluder cast a few magic spells to protect the information from spilling out to those who shouldn't hear it. After which, the messenger spoke, reading the message.

Jircniv stood with a fright. "Are you serious?! This is all the truth!?"

"Every word of it, your Grace."

"Damn, how many of our men have been killed on that battlefield… Wait… Fluder… Is it possible that the Theocracy has done the same thing to our villages too? The ones with reports of the kingdom's troops laying waste to our villages?"

"I don't see why not. This report came straight from my goddess' mouth. One thing she doesn't do is lie."

"Fluder, send a message to have a scribe enter at once. They will pen my response." Jircniv ordered.

"As you wish my lord."
