Chapter 10 - Nezorick's Dungeon

After a long day of work, Manolo and Isidro are taking their mandatory nap, since there is no day, only night in the dark dimension, but a call wakes them up. Isidro answers it. Manolo gets up, still half asleep.

—Rare Communications, technician Isidro Ricardo Matos Montero reporting. —Isidro said.

—Rare Communications, technician Juan Manuel Antonio De los Santos Restituyo, alias Manolo Restituyo, reporting. —Manolo said.

—Sorry to wake you, my technicians, but there's been an extreme emergency. — Camilion replied.

—What's the emergency we need to resolve? —Manolo asked.

—It's about Nezorick's tomb. Our client Angus Ocal Gain, the supreme lord, wants to hire our services, but his guardians have prevented him from doing so because they are against the supreme lord having those services. — Camilion replied.

—Well, he should control his people. That's not our problem. — Manolo answered.

—But hold on for a minute, Manolo, let me finish. — Camilion replied.

—I know where you're going with this, and no, he should control his people. — Manolo answered.

—And there's a lot of money involved. — Camilion replied.

—How much are we talking about? — Manolo asked.

—It will cost a million dragmars to install it, but you will get a hundred dragmarks and a fifty dragmark commission. — Camilion replied.

—How much? Together with all the orders we've placed, we're going to make a lot of money. — Manolo asked.

—Yes, but what exactly do we have to do? I didn't understand what Manolo meant. —Isidro asked.

—You must face the guardians on the floor. Here is the information about them. —Camilion answered, who sent them the information by email. They reviewed it, but Manolo saw a familiar face.

—Her! —Manolo exclaimed, feeling anger, rage, and an indescribable thirst for blood.

—Oh, that's not the one who kicked your ass in the sand. —Isidro replied.

—Aldrich Albain, you damn bitch, I'll pay you back a thousand times over for the beating you gave me in the sand. I... I... I'll tear you to pieces! —Manolo answered, drooling as if he had rabies.

—Where do you know her from, Manolo? —Camilion asked, but Manolo was too angry to answer.

—We met her when we were trapped in the desert with anti-project faction. —Isidro replied.

—The anti-project faction, those bastards. Well, Manolo, at least you're going to get back at someone from the faction. —Camilion answered.

—Yes, that bitch will be mine, and when I get my hands on her. —Manolo exclaimed, clenching his fists in anger, and added. —When are we leaving?

—Now. This will be your first order. Don't take too long; you have orders to carry them out. —Camilion replied.

—We'll give it a try, because it's a dungeon and getting through it would take us a long time, especially since no one has ever made it through. —Isidro answered.

—All right, take your time, but don't take too long. —Camilion replied.

—Don't worry, we won't take long, because I'll get through that dungeon in record time to kick Aldrich's ass. I'm going to paint the whole tomb with his black, putrid blood. — Manolo answered.

—That's the spirit, Manolo. Well, I'll say goodbye now. You can go without mercy, since the dark lord has given us permission, so let's get to work. —Camilion said goodbye.

—You heard him, no mercy. We're finally going out. —Manolo replied as he removed his camouflage, started the vehicle, and set off for the tomb.

Before arriving, they face several motorized warriors from the anti-project faction, but Manolo defeats them as if it were nothing. Once they reach the tomb, he sees that they must cross some suspension bridges before arriving.

—So, this is Nezorick's tomb. Don't tell me, we must cross that suspension bridge to get there. —Manolo said.

—Looks like it. Let's get properly equipped. It will take a long time to get there. — Isidro said.

Manolo activates a symbol on the control panel that shows some armor. When he presses it, armor like Warhammer 40,000 armor comes out from the sides. They put it on, and it adapts to their physical build.

—And I thought it was going to be too tight. —Manolo said, impressed.

—Let's store the materials in our armor. —Isidro answered.

—And how are we going to carry all this? —Manolo replied as they took out the materials to make the installation.

—Easy, with magic. —Isidro answered, who packed everything into a capsule that he stored in his armor.

—Easy peasy! —Manolo exclaims. They armed themselves with their teeth.

—All right, now we're ready to kick Aldrich's ass. — Manolo replied.

—That's the spirit. —Isidro answered.

They walk across the bridge.

—You know, we can fly. —Isidro replied.

—Yes, but if they shoot us down, it would be worse, so stay on the ground unless necessary. — Manolo answered.

Suddenly, skeletons in technological armor riding skeletal dragons armed to the teeth shoot at them in the air.

—Run, Isidro. — Manolo said as they ran across the bridge and shot at the dragons. In a moment, the skeletons broke the bridge, causing it to collapse. Manolo shot a rope with a hook at a dragon, and they climbed up thanks to a motor built into the launcher. They throw the skeleton into the precipice, then begin to fight the dragon riders until they destroy all but one, but the last one takes revenge by shooting at them before falling, landing forcefully in the tomb.

—Where is the entrance? —Manolo asked.

—Let me see. —Isidro replied, who searches for the information in his database, points to the middle tomb, and adds, —It's in that tomb.

At that moment, several skeletons came out to attack them. Isidro and Manolo shoot at them until Isidro casts an explosive spell that obliterates them all.

—We've reached the first floor. What's the plan? — Manolo asked.

—Find the guardian and defeat him so he gives us the key to the next floor. —Isidro replied.

They search the floor, defeating vampires, zombies, and skeletons until they reach a room where there is treasure.

—Treasure. — they both replied together. They shoot it, and it turns out to be a mimic.

—I wasn't born yesterday. — Manolo said.

— Neither was I. — Isidro replied.

They continue exploring the floor until they get lost. They leave marks on the wall to keep track of where they are until they accidentally enter an empty room.

—Wait. — Isidro said.

—What's wrong, Isidro? It's a trap. If you go in, we'll fall into it. — Manolo said.

They back away and continue searching for enemies to defeat until they reach the floor guardian's room.

—Welcome...— said a female vampire wearing a robotic dress like Shaltear Bloodfallen's from Overlord, but Manolo punches her hard in the head, sending her flying. He gets up and adds. —Hey, let me introduce myself, please.

—Sorry, but I have so much anger towards a certain person that I couldn't help but finish you off at the first temptation. —Manolo replied.

—All right, talk, that's it for today. — Isidro answered.

—My name is Beatrix BloodSpawn, guardian of the first, second, and third floors. So get ready to be destroyed. —Beatrix said.

—Seriously, we must see your face two more times. — Manolo replied.

—Yes, is there a problem? — Beatrix asked.

—Umm...— Isidro replied.

—What's wrong, Isidro? — Manolo answered.

—She's hot. — Isidro replied.

—Wait a minute. — Beatrix answered, looking for a Dominican phrase dictionary and being amazed.

—I guess you knew what I wanted. — Isidro replied, looking her up and down.

—Pervert, my body belongs to my supreme lord Angus Ocal Gain. — Beatrix answered.

—Oh, please, as if you could get anything out of that skinny guy. Mine is boneless, and that's what feels good. — Isidro replied.

—How dare you insult my supreme lord, you charmless human. — Beatrix answered.

—I have more charm than that bag of bones, and that's why I'm going to show you what's good. Come on, Manolo, let's kick her ass. —Isidro replied as they shot at her, but she dodged the shots. She attacked them with her machine gun umbrella, but they protected themselves with their energy shield. They shot at each other until she ran out of ammunition and proceeded to turn her umbrella into a sword.

They dodge her sword blowing until they throw a garlic bomb at her, which stuns her.

—That crap won't kill me. — Beatrix said.

—I know, but it won't protect you from this. — Isidro replied, who steals a kiss from her and stabs her in the heart with a stake.

—You bastards won, but I'll see you on the next floor, and your technician will pay for stealing a kiss from me. — Beatrix said as she turned to dust, leaving the key to the next floor behind.

A magic door appears out of nowhere. They put the key in the lock to open it and reach the next floor.

Once on the floor, they began to clear the hallways and rooms of monsters by defeating them. If they got lost, they left clues so they wouldn't get lost until they reached the floor guardian.

—Welcome to the second floor, my dear fighter. — Beatrix said.

—And me, why don't you mention me, darling? — Isidro asked, who makes a gesture with his hands. —Isidro replied as she takes out her Dominican dictionary.

—Roll hard, canned pigeon, I'm going to give you a beating for the chulea you gave me. — Beatrix replied.

—That Dominican insult came out well. — Manolo replied.

—Thank you very much. — Isidro answered.

—You know I like you, girl. My ki is over 9,000, and now I'm going to make you mine once again. — Isidro replied.

—Never. Now let's see if you're going to kiss me like this. — Beatrix answered, transforming into a terrifying monster that moves at high speeds. They try to evade her as much as they can, but she is very fast. However, Isidro summons a cube of slime that stops her for a few seconds. He enters the slime and kisses her tongue until Manolo pulls her out of there and slams her to the floor several times, beating her brutally until she accepts defeat and hands him the key to the next floor.

They open the magic door, where they put the key in the lock and open the door to go to the next floor.

They do the same thing as on the first and second floors until they find Beatrix again.

—Now what are you going to do? We defeated you in your normal, true form, so what do you have for us this time? — Manolo asked.

—This! — Beatrix exclaimed as her dress turned into medieval mecha armor, with a minigun combined with a rocket launcher.

—Okay, but that's not very extreme. — Manolo replied.

—No, of course not, now die! — Beatrix replied as several spells came out of the floor and turned into all kinds of projectiles at the same time as she fired at them, turning the battlefield into pandemonium. As there was a lot of noise, they communicated through their intercoms, which were integrated into armor. This also silenced the noise.

—This turned into chaos in five seconds. — Manolo said as they dodged.

—We must get closer. — Isidro replied.

—I'll take care of it. — Manolo answered, his eyes shining, and he launched himself kamikaze style toward Beatrix, breaking his armor in the process.

—It's impossible for a mortal to survive my hell of bullets, but if he wants war, let him come. — Beatrix thought, who, with Manolo at a safe distance, drew her two-handed sword, and Manolo drew him in the process. They clash swords, but he destroys her suit with a combination of half-sword and punches and kicks until Manolo puts her in a nelson hold around her neck so that Isidro can turn the wand into a stake, stab her in the heart to defeat her, and steal another kiss.

The key appears.

— Finally, we got rid of her. —Manolo replied.

—I wanted to be with her. —Isidro answered.

—If you keep this up, they're going to sue us. —Manolo replied.

—Let them sue me. It's not my fault for wanting some love. —Isidro answered.

—At least Sofia won't give it to you. —Manolo replied.

—She does give it to me, but... I need a different kind of love. —Isidro answered.

—You're sick, Isidro. — Manolo replied.

—I know, but it's love. — Isidro answered.

They put the key in the lock, turned the handle, and entered the next apartment.

When they enter, they fall into a rowboat, where monsters from hell attack them. They grow as fast as they can until a monster pulls them out of the boat. Isidro clings to Manolo until the monsters play with their food. Manolo waits for a monster to charge him so he can grab it with the teeth, pull out its tooth, and knock it out with a blow.

Manolo grabs the monster with the tail to use it as a weapon against the other monsters, scaring them away completely. They come up to the surface to catch their breath.

—We need a better plan because I imagine that bastard is at the bottom of this immense sea. — Manolo replied.

—I can use magic to breathe underwater. —Isidro answered.

—I think with my powers I can breathe underwater. —Manolo replied.

—I've always wondered, doesn't using your powers have any consequences? — Isidro asked.

—I don't know, these powers are a bit strange to me, but if they come from God, I don't have to worry about it... I think. — Manolo replied.

—Just be careful. You fought Aldrich, and she destroyed the floor with you and all your powers. — Isidro answered.

—I'll be careful. I'm not going to limit myself with my powers, so God, I'm counting on you. — Manolo replied, rolling his eyes.

—Let's get to it. — Isidro said as they submerged in the water. Isidro used magic to propel himself, and Manolo used the power granted to him by the cross to dive quickly. They arrived at an underwater castle where the floor guardian was located. They broke down the main door and faced several monsters until they reached the throne room where the floor guardian was.

—Welcome to my humble abode. My name is Aqua Deadbite, guardian of the fourth floor. —Aqua said, who is a kind of female Rikuo from Darkstalkers, wearing a dress made of seaweed and seashells and carrying a trident as a weapon.

—Klk mami, let's fuck. —Isidro said.

—Isidro, keep your womanizer meter to a minimum. —Manolo replied.

—I don't understand the slang the mortal used, but I know he wants to copulate with me. — Aqua answered.

—Wow, good reading of the moment, miss. —Manolo replied.

—Thanks, fat mortal. Now, if you think, skinny mortal, that you're going to defile me, you're completely wrong. My body belongs to Angus Ocal Gain, the supreme lord of Nezorick's tomb. —Aqua answered.

—But you daughter of a bitch, I know I'm fat, but don't say it to my face. —Manolo replied, offended.

—The truth will set you free, mortal. Don't you know that? — Aqua asked.

—What truth? I hate you with all my soul and all my being for saying that. —Manolo replied, his blood boiling with rage.

—You're a fat slob, full of grease, whose days are numbered, even though kings and nobles are like that, but I say what I see, and what I see is a fat, black slob. -—Aqua answered.

—No more courtesy, I'm going to gut you like a chicken at Christmas, you damn piece of trash! —Manolo exclaimed as he lunged at her, but she shot an energy beam at him that knocked him out of the castle.

Isidro shouted for Manolo and shot a magic beam at Aqua, but a bubble protected her. Her castle turned into a monster that spat out Isidro. The castle and an army of monsters stood before them.

—Damn bitch, she'll pay dearly! — Manolo exclaimed.

—Yes, Manolo, get angry at her, destroy her and break her into a thousand pieces. — Isidro answered in a malevolent voice.

—Get ready, whore, here comes the god of war. —Manolo replied as he lunged at the monsters, and they lunged back. The battle is fierce. Manolo, with his super strength, destroys them, mutilating them without mercy until he reaches the castle, where Aqua fires several energy shots from her trident.

Manolo takes a trident from the decorative armor to fight Aqua. They fight fiercely, but a tentacle rises from the floor to the surface, where several waves and Aqua's fists hit Manolo.

—You're no match for me, you fat bastard, so get ready to die. —Aqua replied, laughing maliciously, but Manolo uses brute force to split the ocean into two so that it's just the two of them, one on one.

She uses her water powers to close the ocean, but for some reason her powers don't work. Manolo lunges at her to kick her brutally in the butt.

—I'm a woman! — Aqua said.

—Welcome to social equality, everyone. — Manolo replied, who continues to hit her harder until she gives him the key to leave him alone, but Manolo continues to kick her butt until he lifts his castle and adds as he throws the castle on top of her. —Castle in your face, anyone.

From the foundations, he lifts a piece of rock with the castle on top and throws it into infinity and beyond.

—You went too far, Manolo. You didn't even let me do anything to him. — Isidro said, who joined him.

—She asked for it, although I also broke Beatrix's mother. —Manolo replied.

—Well, whatever you say, let's move on to the next floor. — Isidro answered, who sees the door to the next floor. They open it with the key.

They enter a place that feels like Antarctica because it's so cold. Isidro handed him a coat he had in his armor.

—It's freezing cold. —Manolo said, who is freezing to death.

—This armor keeps me warm. —Isidro replied.

—Isidro, could you repair my armor so I can be warm? — Manolo answered.

—I can't. If I rebuild it with magic, your power will reject it and destroy the armor again. — Isidro replied.

—Well, what can we do? This blizzard isn't helping. — Manolo answered, who clapped his hands to stop the blizzard, and they walked through the emptiness of the icy world.

Some ice monsters, along with several sasquatches, emerged from the snow. They lunge at them, but Manolo makes them retreat with a powerful clap of his hands. Now they are the ones lunging at the monsters. Manolo takes care of them with his fists, and Isidro uses his magic, as well as the weapons possessed by his armor, to defeat them.

—Look in the distance, an ice castle. — Isidro said.

—That must be the home of the guardian on this floor. — Manolo replied.

They run towards the castle, but not before dealing with the enemies along the way. When they reach the castle, there are ice sentries shooting ice beams at them. Manolo hits them with his bare hands to send them back.

—Incredible, those powers of the cross make you invincible. —Isidro said, who shoots magic rays at the sentries.

—I'm not complaining about your magic. —Manolo said they would defeat the sentries and break down the ice door. They continue to fight several ice men and sasquatches until they reach the throne room.

—Welcome, inferior beings, to my humble abode. I am Icezel Cooldown, guardian of the fifth floor. — Icezel said.

—This supreme lord has some tough women. — Isidro replied.

—I know, but I only have eyes for my Yuleika. — Manolo answered.

—As you wish, listen to me carefully, sweetheart, we're here to do an installation, give us the key peacefully, and no one will get hurt. — Isidro replied.

—Except for your henchmen, we'll finish them off. — Manolo answered.

—Because you're ruining the moment. —Isidro replied.

—I know why you're here. You must know that we are against our supreme lord obtaining that technology. —Icezel said.

—We know, but it is the word of your supreme lord. If he says he wants something, you must respect his decision. —Manolo replied.

—I know, but we will not allow our supreme lord to be seduced by your deadly inventions. — Icezel replied, unleashing a blizzard from his body that brought forth more ice men.

—You will never understand that progress will never be stopped. No matter what you do, you will never stop us. — Manolo answered, who clapped his hands to stop the blizzard and remove the enemies from him, and Icezel was thrown hard against the wall.

—You are strong for a mortal. —Icezel replied as she gets back up, adding, —Let's see what you're made of.

She freezes herself, destroying the ice on her body to reveal a mecha of ice armor. She makes him an ice sword so they can fight a sword duel. Manolo takes the sword, and she pulls an ice sword from her hand. They lunge at each other and clash swords. They continue fighting as enemies emerge from the floor. Isidro takes care of them, but some reach Manolo, who uses them as weapons to hit her. The battle is so fierce that the castle shakes until stalactites begin to fall from the ceiling, and they use them to hit each other. They break their swords and fight hand-to-hand, knocking the castle down.

—Manolo, finish her off, this place is falling apart. — Isidro said.

—Go if you want, but I have a key to get it. — Manolo replied, who is beating Icezel.

—All right. — Isidro answered, who leaves.

The castle finishes collapsing, and Manolo breaks her armor, breaks her hands and legs, and smashes her with a piece of the castle, defeating her in the process. The key appears in front of him, and Manolo emerges from the rubble with the key.

—You defeated her. — Isidro said.

—Yes, I have the key here. — Manolo replied.

—Let's get out of here. — Isidro answered, adding as the door appears in front of them, —But you didn't leave me anything to do to her.

—No and stop that. I've been noticing you've been desperate for affection lately. It's the magic that's making you that way. — Manolo replied.

—I don't know, really. —Isidro answered.

—Well, think about it. I don't want you to lose yourself. I need you, Isidro. You're my partner. —Manolo replied, grabbing him with the shoulders.

—Thanks for caring, Manolo. Can I ask you something, Manolo? — Isidro answered.

—If I turn into a monster...— Isidro replied.

—I'll treat you the same way I always have. You can be sure of that, just don't lose your humanity in the process. — Manolo replied, reminding Isidro of what Malcolm had said.

—All right, Manolo. — Isidro answered as they unlocked the door to enter the next floor.

They enter the jungle.

—These floors are strange. First a normal dungeon, then an ocean, then a glacier, now a jungle, and next a volcano. —Isidro said.

—Their structure is similar, if not identical, to the floors in the Overlord novel. What will it be like now? —Manolo replied as they walked through the jungle, but some bushes were moving a lot.

—Careful, Manolo, we have company. —Isidro answered, but someone in the bushes shot poison darts at them with blowguns. Manolo is not affected because he has the power of the cross, but Isidro is, as he is hit in an exposed part of his armor.

—It had to be the face. —Isidro said as he fainted.

—Isidro! —Manolo shouted.

—If you want your friend to live, leave your unholy crusade alone and we'll open the exit for you. — said a voice from the bushes.

—Never! I'll find the cure myself. —Manolo exclaimed, who is traveling through the jungle facing different animals until he reaches a castle in the tree, adding, —Here it is.

Several enemies surround them, but Manolo kicks their asses until he breaks down the front door. They find some werewolf brothers dressed in indigenous clothing.

—So, you're the technician who's going to desecrate Nezorick's tomb with your technology. — said the werewolf.

—First introduce yourself, you are a rude person. I've been putting up with all your introductions before kicking your ass. —Manolo replied.

—My name is Wallace Warbreaker.—Wallace said.

—My name is Whitney Warbreaker.—Whitney said.

—And we are guardians of the sixth floor! —They both exclaimed.

—Perfect, now I need you to give me the cure to heal my partner. —Manolo replied, eager to save Isidro.

—All right, if you defeat our beasts, we might give you the cure. — Wallace answered.

They bring out their best beasts, but Manolo defeats them in the blink of an eye. This frightens Wallace.

—That was lucky. —Wallace said who was frightened.

—Now you'll give me the cure. —Manolo replied.

—Not until you defeat our champions. —Wallace answered.

Their champions appear, and Manolo defeats them in an instant.

—Impossible. —Wallace said who is getting nervous.

—Don't let this mortal scare you, brother. —Whitney replied.

—All right, if you defeat us, we'll give you the cure. —Wallace answered.

They face Manolo, jumping and running at speeds faster than light, but when they are about to strike him, he looks at them, causing them to stop.

—What's going on? What are you afraid of? — Manolo asks.

—Okay, you won. I'll give you an antidote. — Wallace replied.

—But brother, how dare you give in to that mortal. — Whitney whispers in Wallace's ear.

—Instead of scaring him, we made him more dangerous. His gaze reminds me of Aldrich's. — Wallace whispered in his ear, but Whitney hugged him to comfort him.

—Are you going to give me an antidote or not? — Manolo replied.

—Get ready, I'm going to fight you. —Whitney exclaimed, lunging at him, but Manolo dodged his blows until he managed to land a few.

—I hit him several times. —Whitney thought.

—He hit me, how careless of me. —Manolo thought.

This emboldens Wallace, who joins the fight. They beat Manolo up badly, but he gets back up, plays along, and manages knee Whitney, while Wallace hits him with a DDT. They get back up and summon their beasts.

— They're all mine! Come on! Come on, I've got enough for everyone! — Manolo exclaims.

He fights everyone, but this doesn't stop him. When he defeats all the beasts, he goes over to them and beats them both up until they beg for mercy.

—All right, I'll give you the antidote but have mercy. — Wallace said.

They go to a room and give him an antidote. Manolo gives it to Isidro to drink, and he recovers as good as new.

—What did I miss? — Isidro replied.

—From the beating you were giving these two. — Manolo said.

—I can join in. Those bastards sprayed that poison in my face. If it weren't for the contract I have with Meredith, I would have died right there. — Isidro answered.

They beat up the two men, Isidro hitting them with magic spells and Manolo beating them with his fists until they dropped the key to the next floor.

They arrive in a world of burning lava, where demons are torturing monsters.

—This looks like hell, but for monsters. —Manolo said.

—They must be monsters that tried to loot the tomb. —Isidro replied.

—Indeed, you are right, —answered a voice from the floor.

A demon in a suit appears before them.

—Welcome to my humble abode. I am the demon Denzel Daemon, guardian of the seventh floor. —Denzel said, who resembles a cyberdemon from Doom and Demiurge from Overlord.

—You appeared before your minions. —Isidro replied.

—Yes, that takes the fun out of life. — Manolo answered, who feels disappointed.

—Don't worry, dear technicians, I am not someone who enjoys fighting, as I prefer others to exercise violence for me. So, I will give you the key in exchange for you to play some games for me. Is that okay with you? —Denzel asked.

—Okay, fine, I'm a little tired. Something different will do me good. —Manolo replied.

—Yes, why not, but how strange that he is so considerate that he doesn't disagree with Mr. Angus installing the services. —Isidro answered.

—I disagree, but my approach is different from the other guardians. — Denzel replied.

—I understand what I must do. —Manolo answered.

—Just play my games. —Denzel replied.

—And what are those games? — Manolo asked.

—First, it will be an arm-wrestling match. Second, a fight on a suspended wire, and finally a Go Kart race. — Denzel replied.

—All right let's do it. When do we start? — Manolo asked.

—Right now...— Denzel said until some cameramen appeared. He changed into a show host's suit and added, microphone in hand. — Welcome to the television program, The Games of Doom. I am your host, Denzel Daemon. I hope you enjoy this edition with our guests today from Rare Communications, technicians Manolo Restituyo and Isidro Montero. How do you feel about being on this show?

—I'm ready to go through your games so you can let me get back to work. —Manolo said with a slightly awkward smile.

—Perfect, that's the attitude. —Denzel replied.

He teleports him to a kind of swaying structure.

—Welcome to your first test, Manolo. The rules are, if you win, you live, but if you lose, you'll be thrown into the lava. This structure swings to the winning side, so hold on tight. — Denzel said.

Manolo is facing a demon bigger than himself. They put their arms in the arm-wrestling position, clasp their hands together, and hold on to a stick with their other hand.

—On your marks, get set, go! —Denzel exclaimed, starting the competition.

The demon takes advantage as he catches Manolo off guard, but Manolo manages to stay on the structure, even though it is almost falling. Manolo uses his power to make an incredible comeback that ends up eliminating the demon, causing him to fall into the lava.

—Congratulations, Manolo, you have passed your first test. How does it feel? —Denzel asked, who interviews him.

—He caught me a little off guard, but in the end, I beat him. — Manolo replied.

—Good. Now we have your next competition. You will fight this demon with these sticks in a burning volcano. The first one to stay on the rope wins, and the loser's fate is obvious. — Denzel said.

Manolo is teleported to a volcano where there is a thin but sturdy rope. He puts on his protective gear and begins to walk along the thin rope.

—My God, it's hot. —Manolo said as he walked along the thin rope to reach his opponent, who was in the middle of the volcano.

—Ready... Go! —Denzel exclaimed, firing a blank pistol.

Manolo fought the demon but found it difficult with the rope. The demon managed to land a blow that almost knocked him down, but he recovered and continued against the defensive. However, he lost his balance and fell but managed to grab the rope and turn 180 degrees to return to the fight. They continue fighting until Manolo manages to knock him off the rope, but the demon does the same thing he did. The fight intensifies until Manolo manages to knock him down, causing the demon to fall into the lava.

—Congratulations, Champ. You're on a roll. — Denzel said, who interviews him.

—Thanks, I just want to win. — Manolo replied.

—Well, Manolo, it's time for your last challenge, which is the Go Kart race. Are you ready? The rules are simple: you must reach the finish line in first place. There are some power ups that will give you an advantage or the opposite, so be on the lookout when you pass by to pick them up. — Denzel answered.

—Understood. —Manolo replied.

Isidro is watching the competition from afar while some succubus treat him like a king.

Manolo gets into his Go Kart.

—It's too small for me. —Manolo said, trying to get comfortable.

The race is about to start, and the drivers are ready.

—On your marks, get set... Go! —Denzel shouts as he fires his starting pistol.

The race begins, Manolo and the other racers speed around the track at top speed. Manolo tries to grab a power-up with one hand, but it slips away.

—What the heck, that was mine! —Manolo exclaims angrily, adding, —He must be cheating me up.

Manolo tries to grab the power-up, but his hands slip. The demons overtake him and leave him in the last place.

—Oh, is that how it is? If you're not going to give me my power-ups, then I'll have to make my own,— Manolo exclaims, who uses his powers to gain speed, picking up stones from the ground to stun the runners as he overtakes them and reaches first place in the three laps.

—Congratulations, Manolo. You won the race with a bit of an advantage, of course. — Denzel said.

—They made me fight for it, so I had to force victory. — Manolo replied.

Isidro leaves the throne where the succubus was to go see him.

—Okay, Denzel, give us the key so we can continue our way. — Isidro answered.

—All right, you win but be careful on the next floor because my companions are more powerful. — Denzel replied as the door appeared and they opened it with the key.

They arrived in a desert where an evil baby was waiting for them.

—I am Babytroyer, guardian of the eighth floor, and your odyssey is over. Babytroyer said he's trapping Manolo in a black bubble that, every time someone touches it, causes them to have bad thoughts, which weakens his powers.

— Impossible, how did you do it? —Isidro asked.

—Elementary, my dear technician: Manolo's powers are God-given, but what would happen if you introduced a little sin, like impure thoughts? That would cause his power to weaken. This isn't the first time I've faced a man of God; now, if you want to get him back, you'll have a long road ahead before he ends his life. —Babytroyer explained as he teleported Manolo to his castle.

Isidro is left alone, while sand monsters surround him.

—It's just me against the world. —Isidro said he shoots magic rays at the monsters, but they don't hurt him, and he added. —This is going to be harder than I thought.

Isidro runs toward one of the monsters and grabs onto it, hoping to make them kill each other. He runs off, dodging the monsters that get in his way until he comes across a sand worm, which he evades, but in the end, it swallows him whole. Thanks to the armor, he can survive inside.

—I won't be able to do this with my own strength; I'll have to do it. — Isidro said he draws some symbols inside the worm and summons a hologram of Meredith.

— I need your help, Meredith; magic doesn't work in this world, I need your strength. —Exclaimed Isidro.

—I love it when you depend on me. What floor are you on? — Meredith said.

—I'm on the eighth floor; a baby trapped Manolo in a bubble, and I'm about to be turned into a warm poop. Do you have anything that can help me get through this floor? I'll answer. — Isidro replied.

—Are you ready to hand over your humanity to me? — Meredith answered.

—Yes, I'll do it; just give me a weapon to face Babytroyer. —Isidro replied.

Meredith laughs diabolically.

—I, Meredith Netherland, princess of the dark dimension, grant you the SpawnHeel sword, so that you may defeat your enemies. — Meredith Exclaimed as the sword entered her, and Isidro lost his humanity, becoming a powerful, black, Lovecraftian monster.

Once Isidro's armor melts, he cleaves the worm in half with his sword and faces the monsters of that world until he defeats them. Once defeated, Isidro reaches the castle and, with difficulty, defeats the castle monsters until he arrives at the throne room, where Babytroyer is with Manolo. He frees Manolo, but he wants revenge, and Isidro steps in.

—Isidro! It's you. — Manolo Exclaimed, impressed.

—Yes, that's your partner; he must have sold his humanity to free you. Now you're going to fight him. — Babytroyer said.

— You wretch! — Manolo exclaimed as he fought Isidro, dodging his attacks.

—No, visionary! — Babytroyer Exclaimed, laughing diabolically.

— I don't want to hurt you, Isidro; I know you're there. —Manolo replied, trying to talk to him, but he couldn't because his partner was an out-of-control monster, and he added. —You need to come to your senses. Maybe you're a monster outside, but you're my partner, Isidro.

Isidro can't hear him until Manolo subdues him, but parts of Isidro's body are bitten.

—I know you can hear me, Isidro. You have a life ahead of you. Was all that sacrifice you made, everything the Dark Dimension branch put you thru, all the tears you shed, all those sleepless nights, all the people you met, I know that perverted, cowardly Isidro is still inside you. —Manolo said he tries to make the words reach his heart.

Isidro struggles with himself until he manages to come to his senses.

—Manolo. — Isidro said he was coming.

— Impossible. —Babytroyer replied.

—Yes, Isidro, it's me, Manolo, your colleague. —Manolo answered.

—Manolo, what have you done? Look at yourself, I'm sorry. — Isidro replied as Manolo freed him.

—Don't worry, buddy, we're gonna kick this spoiled brat's ass now. —Manolo replied.

—All right, you'll pay for taking away my humanity, you bastard. —Isidro answered.

—Oh, I knew that making you kill each other wouldn't work, so come and face your fate. —Babytroyer replied, transforming into a muscular man and lunging at them, beating them to a pulp until he destroyed their castle, but they managed to knock him off to catch their breath. They pounce on him to fight, throwing and punching Babytroyer until they're battling at insane speeds that shatter the floor, at which point Isidro cuts off his limbs with his sword, and Manolo gives him a beating he'll never forget. After that, Babytroyer hands them the key, and the door appears for them to open it.

They arrive at a kind of hotel.

—How elegant, it's like France. —Manolo said.

—This must be the ninth floor; finally, some civilization around here. —Isidro replied.

—Welcome to the Ninth Floor, I am Zeke Zorak and these are my herald servants. Zeke said he's a dragonoid in a suit who bows.

—I am Albert Alpha. —Albert said he's a dullahan dressed as a servant who bows.

—I'm Víctor Beta. —Victor said he's a cat-man dressed as a servant who bows.

—I am Gladius Gamma. —Gladius said he's a doppelganger dressed as a servant who bows.

—I am DR3K9 Delta. —DR3K9 said he's an android dressed as a servant who bows.

—I am Elizabeth Epsilon. —Elizabeth said she's a harpy dressed as a servant who bows.

—I am Zenovia Zeta. —Zenovia said she's a drider dressed as a servant, bowing.

—I am Osvalt Omega. —Osvalt said he's a mummy dressed as a servant who bows.

—Oh, how refined. "—Manolo said."

—Yes, way too much for our taste, Zeke. That's your name, right? —Isidro asked.

— Yes, sir. — Zeke answered.

—Are we going to fight, or what? —Isidro replied.

—Like Mr. Denzel, I'm not in favor of violence, especially not here on this floor. —Zeke answered.

— So, how are we going to solve this? — Isidro asked.

—With a food competition. — Zeke replied.

—Umm! Food... "I like that! — Manolo answered, sounding like Homer Simpson.

—You, Mr. Manolo, will face Milton Slimer, the Slime. — Zeke replied.

—That's cheating; the Slime just absorbs everything as if it were nothing, —Isidro answered.

— Don't worry, this will be easy. — Manolo replied.

—If you say so. —Isidro answered, intrigued.

The servants set two tables of laden with food. Manolo and Slime are ready to eat.

—On your marks, get set, go. —Zeke exclaimed.

Manolo starts eating the food as fast as he can, but the slime eats everything, even what's on the table, growing disproportionately.

—Looks like we have a winner. —Zeke replied, but he hadn't counted on Manolo's wisdom, who sucked up the Slime, leaving it tiny with its core intact.

—And that's me. —Manolo answered.

— Is that legal? — Albert Alpha asked, but Zeke ignored him.

—Alright, Mr. Manolo, you won. Here's the key to the next floor, but I'm warning you to be careful with Miss Aldrich. She's very dangerous, that's why she's, our leader. — Zeke replied, handing them the key.

—I'll keep it in mind. —Manolo answered as the door to the next floor appeared before him.

They open the door with the key and reach the throne room, where Aldrich is kneeling before the throne.

—So, I've got you, you damn whore. — Manolo Exclaimed.

—Whoever your mother is, Manolo. I am the leader of the guardians of Nezorick's tomb, the guardian of the tenth floor, Aldrich Albain. I am also the leader of the anti-project faction, a group of this world's elites dedicated to opposing the modernization project of the dark dimension. —Aldrich replied.

—Your godmother in a thong. I'd like to know what makes you elite, since you spend all your time locked up here. —Manolo answered.

—Yours, Manolo. I was Miss Dark Dimension five times in a row, and I'm the director of the most prestigious institute in the entire Dark Dimension. I am a shareholder holding stock in many of these dimension companies. I'm also an investor in many of the world's companies. So, I have more elite status than you could ever achieve in a thousand lifetimes. —Aldrich replied.

—Thanks, you two-legged whatever, for the explanation, but let's fight once and for all. —Isidro said.

And who are you, since you didn't have a human partner, Manolo? —Aldrich replied.

— I'm Isidro Aldrich. I'm Isidro. — Isidro answered.

She laughs.

—So, you had a pact with a demon and ended up losing your humanity because of that sword you carry. I know who you are. —Aldrich replied.

—That matters now, so get ready, Aldrich, because you're going to pay for everything you've done to the human technicians at the Dark Dimension branch. Let's go, Manolo, and kick her ass. —Isidro answered as they walked toward her, but she teleported them to an arena on the tenth floor.

—I'm sorry, gentlemen, but I'm not going to destroy the throne room with our fight. What better place than the arena, where every being in this Tomb will witness my power, staining this sand with their blood. —Aldrich replied, snapping her fingers and appearing dressed in her combat armor, which is very similar to Albedo's from Overlord but more heavily armored.

—Manolo, let's do this. — Manolo said as they ran toward her, but she unfurled her four wings, two of a fallen angel and two of a demon and in the blink of an eye she vanished and reappeared beside them.

—Holy crap, and that speed. —Isidro replied.

—Don't worry, I'll catch her; just focus on hitting her. — Manolo answered.

—Good try! —Aldrich exclaimed as he charged them with his spear at full speed, adding. —Now, die!

Manolo catches the spear with his teeth and breaks it, then takes the broken-off piece and stabs it into his eye.

—You bastard, you'll pay for that. —Aldrich said, throwing his spear to the ground and drawing two swords to face the two of them.

Manolo pulls a Bible from his vest to confront her. They pounce, but Aldrich's offensive is so powerful that they try to defend themselves as best they can until Manolo manages to land a blow with the Bible that stuns her, and they take advantage to beat her mercilessly, eventually breaking her armor. She knocks them away with her power. She laughs diabolically, grabs her swords, and they lunge forward to resume the fight, but time stops.

—Well, well, look who we have here, it's Aldrich, facing off against the technicians who are going to install my service. — Angus said he's watching them," he added. —Wait, there weren't two of them.

—But what the hell just happened? Was it you who stopped time? —Manolo asked, who's standing behind him.

—Wow, I'm impressed that someone can move within my time-stopping spelling. — Angus replied.

—What impresses me is that he was able to stop it. — Manolo replied.

—Well, let's get over it. —Angus said, giving Aldrich a little shove as he deactivated the time-stop spell. When everything returns to normal, Aldrich ends up slammed against the wall.

—You're Mr. Angus, the owner of all this. —Isidro replied, falling.

—Yes, it's me. I'm glad you're here, but my guardians gave you a lot of trouble. —Angus said everyone knelt before him except for Manolo and Isidro.

—Quite a few. —Isidro replied, telling him everything they had gone through.

—I'm sorry for losing your human form; I promise I'll get it back for you. —Angus answered.

—Don't worry, sooner or later it was going to happen. —Isidro replied.

—Even so, I insist, since it was my guardians' fault. — Angus answered.

— All right, if you say so. — Isidro replied.

—Well, gentlemen, let's get started with the installation. — Angus said.

They reach the tenth floor, but they check the entire place and there's no internal wiring.

—Supreme Lord. —Manolo Said.

— What's up, Manolo? Angus asked.

— There's no internal wiring. —Manolo replied.

—My wiring is magical; it uses seals to work. — Angus answered.

— Isidro, you know how to work with that kind of wiring. —Manolo replied.

"I took some courses, but I don't know how to modify that thing," Isidro replied. —Isidro replied.

—So, what do we do, Mr. Angus? We can't install it like this; you'll have to install pipes or modify your magical wiring to make the installation possible. —Manolo replied.

—Let me call my technician. —Angus said he calls his custom magic wiring technician, who's a frogman. He teleports in front of them, inspects the equipment they provide, and begins drawing magic circles on it so that both the electricity and the communication work.

—Okay, that should work. —the toad Replied.

—Thanks, Croaks; here's a fly for you. —Angus replied, conjuring a fly with his magic.

—At your service, Your Majesty. — Croaks answered, teleporting away.

—And now, you can install it. — Angus replied.

— But where do we put them, since they could spoil the look of the place? —Manolo said.

—Don't worry, I'll take care of it. —Angus replied, calling his interior designer, who is a ghost.

—Speak, my overlord. —The ghost replied.

—Irma, I need you to make room for this equipment, so it doesn't hurt the image of the place. —Angus answered.

Irma begins modifying the equipment housings to suit the environment.

—Ready, my overlord; they're already suited to the place. Anything else? —Irma asked.

—Very well, Irma, you may leave. I'll take care of it. — Angus replied as she teleported away.

— You are prepared for anything, my lord. — Manolo said, marveling at the service of his servants.

—Yes, I know; even I'm impressed by my servants' service. — Angus replied.

Manolo and Isidro once again ask Croaks to interconnect the terminals on the different floors, placing the services in the locations Angus specifies, since they're spread throughout the tomb. After a while, they grow tired, and one of the servants serves Manolo deadly appetizers and Isidro appetizers from the dark dimension.

—These appetizers would have upset my stomach when I was human, but now that I'm not, they're good. Want some, Manolo? —Isidro said.

—No, thanks, Isidro; I'll stick with my pastries. —Manolo replied, eating his snacks.

After that, they say goodbye to Angus and his people. They are teleported to where their vehicle is, get in, and head to a mountain where they hide to rest from that titanic facility.

— What happened? Why isn't Aldrich here? — Sargoth asked.

—According to what she told me, she was punished by the Supreme Lord and, for now, will speak remotely. — Oculan replied.

—Greetings, compatriots. I may not be physically present, but I'll keep an eye on the meeting. —Aldrich answered via a magical hologram.

—Well, Aldrich, and now that you've failed to stop the technicians… What's next? I'll answer. — Infernus replied.

—I have another plan; thanks to our spy inside the branch, this new plan will work. —Aldrich answered.

—I hope so, because there's already a forty percent chance that the dark dimension has Rare's services. —Oculan replied.

—Don't worry, my friends; this time we'll get it right. —Aldrich answered.

— Yes, of course give that bone to another dog. —Kulbain replied.

Aldrich casts a magic bolt that knocks him out of his chair.

— Someone else. — Aldrich replied.

—No. —Everyone answered.

—Well, the meeting is over. — Aldrich said.
