"Can you please let me get into the carriage with the maids who are going to the market?" Sabrina said and the head maid's eyes widen, "What's your name?"
"Theresa, my lady... But... But my lady why not take the royal carriage?" Theresa asked confused of why the princess would want to get into the carriage made for maids,
"I'm your princess am I not? Please don't worry about me sharing a ride with the maids and I don't want you to tell anyone about where I went okay?" Sabrina spoke, that's when the maid took in what she was wearing, she wondered why the princess suddenly wanted to act poor,
"But... That could put me in danger if master finds out," Theresa knew how the prince protected this woman like his very own life, he could kill her if he found out that she let the princess get out of the castle because that seems to be the case, the princess was trying to leave the castle without anyone's consent,
"You have nothing to worry about, I will be back even before anyone notice I'm gone," Sabrina tried to convince her, "No harm will come to you I promise,"
With great difficulty Theresa nodded and like that Sabrina got in with the other two maids while hiding her face, the maids and coachman didn't know know it was her, as she covered her face and the head maid had told them that it's one of her niece,
Once they were at the Woodrow market, Sabrina got down still covering her face as she murmured thank you and left,
She walked out of the market, uncovering her face, she got into a carriage heading to her town, the sky was getting turning orange, meaning it will soon start turning dark, she just want to spend a little time with her mother and friend before hurrying back, the ride to the castle is short after all,
But before she could get to her village, the carriage suddenly broke down and she was the only one in it,
"What happened?" Sabrina asked the coachman who also seemed confused, They were in the middle of a thick forest,
"Hold on a second milady, let me check what's wrong," he said but immediately he got down, Sabrina heard an arrow shot, it hit the coachman and he fell on the ground Sabrina's eyes widen as she first looked around before she carefully got down the carriage, she saw that the coachman was dead and it scared her,
"Who's there?!" She shouted in the quiet forest, with on birds flying about, no one answered, "Come out now! Don't be a coward and stay hidden! Come out and face me!" She said again and it seems the person was offended by what she said because the person came out of hiding,
Sabrina saw a woman with ugly looking skin come out of hiding, she had an evil grin on her face, Sabrina stared scared,
"Look what I caught, a beautiful maiden," the woman said sounding insane,
"A witch?" Sabrina said, she wouldn't have known that this woman was a witch because then she didn't know nothing about these creatures but Lucian had showed her exactly how a witch looked like, "Why did you kill him?"
"You are really funny and also amusing, you know what I am yet you aren't scared and also how can you ask such a funny question, I'm a witch I kill for a living, just as I'm gonna kill you too," the witch suddenly laughed out, her laugh resonating all over the forest and Sabrina only hope someone hears and come save her,
"I am indeed not scared of you, so if you know what's good for you, you will let me leave," Sabrina tried to threaten the witch but that only seem to widen the smile on the witch's face,
"I like you already, you are going to taste really good when I'm done with you, pretty," with that being said, the witch raised her hand and in a blink of an eye Sabrina's neck was in her hand, Sabrina's eyes widen as the witch tried to strangle her,
"You run your mouth but you are nothing but a weakling, weak human," the witch cackled as she squeezed her neck further and Sabrina struggled, she slowly raised her hands and held the witch's hand holding her neck, suddenly the witch started feeling a burning sensation on the spot Sabrina held, the hotness started increasing and the witch's eyes widen as her face was filled with pain, she released her grip on Sabrina's neck,
Sabrina gasped for air as she moved back away from the witch that screamed in pain looking at her burnt hand,
"What did you do to me you bitch!" The witch yelled staring at her hands, "So you aren't human, I will fucking kill you," she said
And Sabrina ran into the forest, running far away from the witch who also followed behind her closely, Sabrina panted for air, she was really tired as she was pregnant and it had turned dark, she didn't even know where she was right now, she slipped and fell on the dirty ground, dirt smearing both her face and gown, she turned and saw that the witch had caught up to her, her heart was slamming against her rib cage, she was so scared,
She tried to move away from the witch, dragging herself away as the witch walked closer to her, grinning,
"Now you can't run anymore, what exactly are you?! A witch?" The witch asked, "But I don't sense it in you, you must be a werewolf or vampire then, with abilities too," the witch kept saying and Sabrina kept moving back, "Where do you think you're going, I'm gonna kill you for harming me," she pounced on Sabrina and tried to strangle her one more time as she struggled,
