"Number 35, hand over the Marrow Cleansing Pill and I'll spare your life," Kuroki Suzu, the woman leading the group, said coldly.
"You're planning to rob me of my Marrow Cleansing Pill?" Ye Shaokang, quite the actor, feigned ignorance. Clutching the White Jade Box, he said coldly, "Stop right there! If anyone dares to come closer, I'll destroy it."
With a screech, the hundred or so people with Kuroki Suzu skidded to a halt.
"Number 35, don't be rash," Kuroki Suzu soothed. "If you dare destroy the Marrow Cleansing Pill, I will kill you."
"Do you take me for a fool? If I don't destroy it, do you think I can leave here alive?" Ye Shaokang retorted coldly.
"Our target is the Marrow Cleansing Pill, not your life," said Kuroki Suzu.
"But with so many of you, who should I give it to?" Ye Shaokang asked.
"Give it to me!"
"To me!"
"If you don't give it to me, I'll kill you!"
