There is a reason as to why the dragon race is treated as the strongest power that stands at the peak of the Western Continent.
A military might that overshadows the combined forces of nearly all the other races in the continent, and individually, each soldier's combat prowess stands at the peak of their peers, their massive body capable of holding so much more mana than any other race.
Not to mention their extreme alignment with the world, as if they are the very heralds of its laws and rules, allowing them to exert magic far more efficiently than anyone else in this continent.
With all of this features, it isn't all too weird to call them the chosen race of the heavens, and obviously, it wouldn't be weird for them to grow immense confidence, then pride, with all the blessings they receive from birth.
