Maxwell's heat reached a fever pitch when he was about to head into a meeting with a fellow CEO. Thankfully, Maxwell's secretary team had warned the upcoming meetings that he could potentially be cancelling them due to his upcoming heat.
That meant, the CEO, who was a beta, was more understanding as Maxwell failed to show up to their meeting and was whisked away from the company with a beta driver to Andrew's waiting arms back at their house.
Andrew was just glad that it was a beta, and not an alpha or true alpha CEO that he had been meeting with. Thankfully, even though Ellis was on bedrest rather suddenly, he was making sure that even from his home he was looking out for Maxwell.
