Somewhere in City V, 1414 days after Setsuka began her training regiment
Out in the business area of City V, a young couple were walking out of one of the fancier restaurants in the city with the looks of satisfaction clear on their faces.
"Oh honey, I really enjoyed our date tonight. Thank you for taking me out to such a lovely place." the woman told the man she was going out with. She was a young woman with long, brown hair that reached all the way to her waist and she was currently wearing a lovely silver dress that accentuated her generous curves that were paired with a white pair of high heels.
"I'm glad you had a good time today, sweetheart. I also had a wonderful time eating out in such a lovely place." the man walking next to the curvy woman told his date as the two of them continued walking towards their destination. He was a man of average height with well-combed orange hair, a sharp nose and a small scar that passed through his left eye. He was wearing a red tuxedo along with a crimson red neck tie and red leather shoes.
And the two of them continued to walk and chat with each other until they reached a white limousine that had been parked just a few steps away from the entrance of the fancy restaurant. And standing in front of the limousine was a bald middle-aged man wearing a black suit, a pair of black leather shoes and a dark blue tie over the collar of his shirt.
"Good afternoon sir, madam. I'm assuming that the two of you had a lovely outing today?" the driver of the white limousine asked his employer once he had opened the door for his employee and his spouse.
"Yes we did, Alphonse. I'm really glad that you were able to get reservations to such a fancy place. Thank you for recommending us such a lovely place." the wealthy blonde expressed his gratitude towards his employee as he cuddled up to his girlfriend once they were both comfortably seated at the back of the limousine.
"Think nothing of it, young master! I am glad that you were able to spend your evening in such a wonderful time with the beautiful young lady." Albert casually told his master as he closed the door and made his way towards the driver's seat of the limousine.
"Alphonse, I think it's time we went back home for the night." the man in the red tuxedo ordered his driver.
"Right away, young master!" Alphonse complied to the man's response as he started the engine of the car and began to drive back to his employee's home.
'Man, am I glad that we were able to actually spend some quality time together.' the young master thought to himself as he continued to cuddle up to his wife.
One hour later, at the hallway leading into the luxury apartment room of the young master
'Man, I'm gonna spend some quality time with my girl right now!' the young master thought to himself as he and his girlfriend walked towards their apartment room with lustful looks in his eyes.
'I can't wait to get frisky in bed tonight!' the young master's girlfriend thought to herself as she clung onto to the side of her boyfriend while pressing her cleavage into his right arm.
But as the two of them continued to approach their apartment, they noticed that a silhouetted figure was standing in front of the door that led into their apartment room. And once the two of them were a bit closer to their destination, they were able to clearly identify the features of the one who was standing in front of their door.
The person standing in front of their door was a young woman who was slightly taller than average woman with a pale skin complexion and long, silver hair that covered her entire back. She was wearing a black dress that managed to conceal her figure.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" the young master asked the pale-skinned woman as he looked at her with narrowed eyes.
"Oh pardon me, I was just passing by when I saw the unique design of the door for this room. It really is a well decorated door. But it appears that this is your home, so I'd better get going now." the pale-skinned woman replied before she walked past the young couple and left the area.
"She sure is a strange woman isn't she?" the young master's girlfriend commented on the woman that they had seen just moments ago.
'I don't like how that woman was just standing at my door right now. I'll be sure to tell the security guards of the apartment to make sure that they don't let her through from now on.' the young master thought to himself as he unlocked the door to his apartment room before he and his girlfriend got into the room in order to spend some 'quality time' with each other.
But once they got into his room, the two of them were suddenly lifted of off their feet as they began to feel the presence of something strangling them by their necks. And as a result of this, the young couple began to gag as though they were getting choked by an invisible pair of hands. And not long after they were lifted into the air through the psychic powers of the monster, their bodies were being turned towards the living room of the spacious living room area of the mansion.
And right in front of them was a floating monster that could easily scare of any average citizen. It had a few eyeballs that came out through the parts of its arms that were visible for all to see while concealing the rest of its body with a worn cloak. It was currently standing in front of the window that had a clear view of the city below.
"Well, well, well…It looks like my targets have finally come to their place of residence." the multi-eyed monster remarked as he pulled his prey towards him.
"Ah! Scary Monster!" the young couple shouted out as they looked at the abomination in front of them.
"Hah! You can scream all you want, but I have gone to great lengths to make sure that your voices would not be heard by any of the residents of this building. Prepare to meet your ends foolish-"
But before the monster could finish its sentence, a swarm of bats suddenly flew into the room by shattering the window of the living room before they quickly swarmed the three creatures in the room and began to bite at the flesh of the monster and the two humans it had held with its psychic abilities.
"My eyes! They hurt!" the monster shouted as the bats began to devour his flesh while especially seeming to focus on the parts of his arms that exposed his eyes.
"Ah! Why is this happening to us?!" the young master shouted out as the bats that had surrounded him continued to tear into his flesh without pause.
"Ah! Please make it stop!" the brown-haired woman screamed in agony as the bats also bit into her flesh.
Within just a few moments, the bats that had suddenly barged into the spacious apartment room had dispersed revealing the corpses of their victims. While the three dead bodies fell, the bats began to gather towards each other and began to take on a different shape.
And in a matter of seconds, the bats had taken on the appearance of the woman who had stood in front of the door of the residents of the bloodied apartment room.
"I am glad that I did not simply enter the room before my meals did. Although it was somewhat of an endeavor for me to actually sense his presence with my superior senses, but I am glad I was able to do so. It would have been bothersome to deal with that many eyed monster if he was aware of my presence." the silver-haired woman spoke aloud as she looked at the corpses laid before her.
"Now then, I believe it is time for me to take my leave and meet my brother." the vampire said before she transformed herself into a swarm of bats and exited through the window she had shattered just moments ago.
Later that night, somewhere else in City V
In an abandoned warehouse that once housed a large number of machines, a lone figure could be seen pacing around the empty warehouse with a look of worry on his face. He was a man of pale skin complexion with silver hair that was styled to move upward along with two strands of his hair covering the sides of his face. He was wearing a black Victorian style outfit along with a cape and leather boots.
"When is that foolish sister of mine going to come back? Does she think that I enjoy waiting for her or something?" the fancily dressed monster complained to no one in particular as he paced around the warehouse with an annoyed expression plastered on his face.
"Oh, so your sister is not here right now? That's a shame, we were really looking to recruit her in our ranks." a high-pitched male voice could be heard from within the empty hallway of the warehouse, to which the pale-skinned monster reacted by turning in the direction from where the voice came from.
"Who are you?" the pale vampire asked the stranger who had suddenly made his presence known. Said stranger was a monster that resembled the type of bird that appeared in children's shows with his colorful feathers, a green pair of eyes.
"I am Phoenix Man, a messenger of the Monster Association and I come to you offering both you and your sister spots to join our organization." the bird-like monster told the pale-skinned monster his reasoning as a human hand holding onto an invitation card emerged from his chest.
"Why would we join-"
But before he could finish refusing the offer that the monster had given him, he felt a gust of wind from the direction of the bird-like monster in front of him, which made him pause his movements for a moment. And when he turned to his direction, the vampire who had made an appearance at the residence of the rich young couple was standing next to him with the card in one of her hands.
"Thank you for the invitation fellow monster. We accept your offer." the female vampire responded as she looked at the invitation card in her hand.
"How could you just-" the vampire male was about to yell at his sister before she glared at him.
"But I must ask, where exactly is your base of operations located?" the female vampire asked the messenger of the Monster Association while raising her eyebrow, intentionally cutting of her brother's questions towards her.
"Ah, I am so glad that you were present for this encounter of mine. We do not have a base at the moment as we are all simply laying in wait at hiding spots that we have managed to find." Phoenix Man responded to the female vampire's question.
"Huh?! You expect us to actually cooperate with you while you still lack a place where yo can rest?" the male vampire asked Phoenix Man with a bit of disbelief clear in his voice.
"There's no need to worry about that, We are in the process of getting ourselves a suitable base of operations, so you do not need to worry about that. But feel free to do your own things and lay low for the time being. We will be sure to send you a message detailing the location of our headquarters once we have handled things on that front." Phoenix Man answered the question in a professional manner.
"That still does not-"
"Quiet brother. We will work with the Monster Association and that is final." the female vampire stopped her brother from finishing his sentence while giving him a cold stare. This action got the male vampire to keep his mouth shut.
"Do not mind my younger brother. As you can see, he is quick to judge others who are not like us. We will await your message when you are done with the arrangements for the base of operations that you plan to offer." the female vampire told Phoenix Man.
"Very well. We look forward to working with you two the next time we meet." Phoenix Man said before he flapped his wings and flew off into the sky.
"Why did you have to accept that damned fake's invitation? Where is your pride as a vampire?" the male vampire shouted out to his older sister once Phoenix Man was out of ear shot.
"Because Pureblood you fool, he is a part of group of monsters who are capable of defeating us without the need to go all out." the female vampire responded to her younger brother's question with the annoyance on her face clear for all to see.
"How did you know about the group that he is working for?" Pureblood asked her once more as he looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Well I have been gathering information from the monsters that I have encountered recently." the female vampire told him while rolling her eyes.
"Are you seriously interacting with those lowlifes Pura? They are an insult to us natural monsters!" Pureblood yelled in outrage as he looked at her as though she had gone crazy.
"Who I interact with is none of your concern little brother. Now if you do not mind, I wish to rest and I do not want you to interrupt me for the remainder of the night." Pura instructed Pureblood before she moved towards the corner of the warehouse and began to sleep.
'Foolish sister. I hate the fact that you are so willing to throw away your sense of pride as a vampire in order to work with those pseudo-monsters. Never mind, I'll just hunt down some humans for the time being.' Pureblood thought to himself as he watched his sister sleep on the floor of the corner that she had moved towards for a moment longer before he flew away from the empty warehouse.
Meanwhile, out in the streets of City Z
Out in the shadier streets of City Z, two bulky men were walking side by side with unsteady steps out of one of the bars located in the area.
"Man, we sure did have a good time back at the bar am I right?" one of the men slurred with his drunken voice.
"You said it man. I feel like going to another bar right now. Let's get drunk like there's no tomorrow! Whohoo~!" the other drunk man shouted out as he raised his fist in the air.
"I dunno man, I don' think I can drink any more booze tonight." the first drunk man told his drinking buddy as he started to rub his eyes.
"Comee oon man! It won't be fun-"
"I'm telling you man, I can't handle another drink!" the second drunk man once again refused his drinking buddy's offer to go to another bar at this hour.
And as the two men continued to talk to each other, they were being followed by a shadowy figure from the dark alley that was located near the walkway that the two drunk men were walking on.
'Goodie! It looks like I don't have to hunt for a new snack now! And they are drunk, which make them easier to hunt!" a mysterious figure thought to itself as it continued to tail the two drunk men from a safe distance while licking its lips.
