It's been three days since Thain's death, along with Cassiel's take over as king.
He found out the reason behind all the vampires being weak, it was because they're young, and not one of them has ate a human.
He also found out Thain wasn't lying when he said all nobles were exiled, so he made sure to make a mental note to gather the remaining nobles up when time is on his side.
Lastly, he searched through the capital looking for any surviving vampires, only to find a measly 300 left.
.....
.....
After rounding them all to the outside training grounds, Cassiel prepares himself.
"All of those that have received any type of combat training, raise your hand." Cassiel orders, his hopes being low.
Only 70 out of the remaining 300 vampires had raised a hand.
"This is just terrible..." Cassiel mumbles to himself whilst facepalming.
"And raise your hand if you're willing to fight to take back our continent." Cassiel gives a half hopeful look, praying it isn't too late for his species.
This time, however, only thirty of the vampires raise a hand, leaving a disgusted look on Cassiel's face.
"You've got to be kidding me. The ones wanting to go, follow me on the way out. The rest of you stay here and try not to get killed." Cassiel says, walking back around the castle to the front, with the thirty vampires following, leaving the rest confused, wondering what to do.
.....
.....
After reaching the front of the castle, Cassiel teaches the vampires quick and easy formations, so that if a battle is to ensue, they won't drop like flies.
As soon as he's done teaching them, he gives them their first order, to follow him, as they march off to the city closest to them, aiming to aid them if needed.
.....
.....
Finally arriving at their closest neighboring city, Ananchel, the city of war itself, Cassiel is immensely displeased to see that their front gate is barely holding on as the sounds of a battle ring not far from where he is.
"City of war my ass…" Cassiel mumbles to himself.
"Soldiers, prepare, for we're going to help our fellow vampires to cleanse this continent of every last piece of human filth that plagues it.." Cassiel says to his people.
The reason behind Cassiel being displeased, was simply because of the fact that Ananchel had been highly praised for centuries on their tactics presented during wars, tactics that rivaled those presented by the Tenebris family, the royal family of intel.
The vampires cheer as they follow Cassiel into battle, ready to save Ananchel even if it will cost them their lives.
Getting closer to the fight, Cassiel orders his soldiers to get in a formation, whilst telling them to put their own lives first as he goes to search for one leading the humans.
Dashing across the outskirts of the battlefield, Cassiel stops dead in his tracks for a second.
"...I've felt this energy before... this isn't good. If that man is here, then this city… no… all of Rampiel is doomed." Cassiel mumbles to himself as he continues to bolt around the battlefield.
"This feeling… it's not the same feeling I felt all those years ago…" Cassiel continues to dash around, getting closer to the mana presence he's feeling.
"It's not possible... did that balding monster have a chi-" Cassiel gets cut off as he dashes backwards, mere moments before a shining gold longsword is thrown into the ground in front of him.
"Wow, you sure are fast for a vampire… I thought all the stronger vampires were dead." A man says, walking forward in shining gold and blue armor, picking up the longsword.
"My name is Falvi Hael, The Hero, and I am the son of Rael Hael, The Warlord of Solstice." Falvi says, smirking. "Bow down to me and I will make your death quick."
This shocks Cassiel.
"Your presence is pissing me off." Cassiel responds, looking Falvi dead in the eyes as his own weapon forms in his hand.
As Falvi readies his blade, Cassiel takes the initiative by dashing forwards, appearing by Falvi's side.
Swinging his sword in a deadly arc, he aimed for a one hit kill, only to be blocked last second by Falvi's sword.
"You're fast." Says Falvi as he pushes Cassiel away by releasing a large amount of mana.
Right after, Falvi charges at him, swinging his sword downward at Cassiel in a big crescent swing, which Cassiel just barely blocks.
"I'll show you fast." Cassiel says, parrying Falvi's attack to the side, to then kick him away before dashing directly behind him, slashing his sword, cutting into Falvi's arm, only to be stopped by his armor.
"You dare ruin my armor, you fiend?" Falvi says, turning around and punching his fist into the ground, releasing mana into it, which makes it erupt in an explosion, blasting Cassiel backwards.
Cassiel quickly recollects himself, trying to find Falvi through the blinding dirt, only to see him last second, approaching from up above in the sky.
With his sword already in a set swinging motion, Cassiel had no choice but to dodge to the side with less than a second to spare as Falvi's sword slices the ground where Cassiel was, splitting it in two.
"This brute... the way he fights... he really is Rael's son." Cassiel says as his hand starts to glow a dark red color, before he charges back in, grabbing Falvi by the face with the same red glowing hand, picking him up and slamming his head into the ground.
"You… are weak!" Falvi says, launching Cassiel back with a kick.
He quickly follows up by punching Cassiel square across his jaw, only to get flung back as Cassiel shoots out a red orb from his glowing hand.
"I wonder what your father will say as I enter Solstice holding your head." Cassiel says, his sword forming in his hand.
