Out of all the things Alex and her sisters had expected, it was a squirrel standing on top of the teleportation carpet.
It was still in the middle of eating some sort of tree nut, its eyes seemingly a little shocked and confused by the new environment around it.
Before they could approach it, the lines on the teleporter lit up again, forcing them to cover their eyes.
After a while, the light disappeared.
The squirrel was gone.
"What was that? I wasn't seeing things, right?" Sophia quietly murmured as she rubbed her eyes several times in a row.
"I don't think so..." Mary murmured as she rubbed her eyes as well to double-check it wasn't just an illusion.
"How did a squirrel know how to use a teleporter?"
As the three of them walked up to the teleporter once again, they could feel a small hint of lingering mana floating in the air.
Right above the teleporter where the squirrel was standing earlier.
