"But seriously, who is this girl, as she seemed important, as Page had her roboticized the same way as us, rather than going through you like the others?" Carter asked.
He did not question why Myne was roboticized, although he was curious about how she was. That was pretty much the only thing that he cared about regarding her at the moment. The settlement had the original people of the village, who were first roboticized within it, and then there were others who joined it later on. The main thing about who was and who was not allowed just came down to mostly a gut feeling in a scene. As there were those who entered the domain, that was all that was left of the Southern Guardian's territory after all this time that he had been left inactive.
"Why did you let everyone else in the world treat what is basically our backyard as their dumping ground?" Carter asked.
Being considered a place of no return, where all types of living things were done, both the organic and the robotic were all treated the same. They were dumped in the area they just dubbed the Unclaimed, as no Guardian wanted the lands, nor did any of the human rulers go after them either. It was just something none of them ever thought about doing, as that was just considered land that was off limits without ever wondering why.
"Why not, as I do not want to get involved in their world anymore than I have to. Just existing here in my own space at my own pace is good enough for me," Reva told him.
"You say that, but you do know that we have to clean the messes that happen from those not drawn here directly or those that become the roaming automatons of the forest area," Crater told.
"What are you talking about? Whenever there was someone that we added to the settlement, I got out myself to roboticize them after all," Reva pointed out.
"That does not happen as often as you think. What do you think happens to all those who do not attract your attention or end up submitting to you because you do not know the basics about holding back in the normal sense?" Carter informed him.
Reva always wondered how Carter knew certain things along with Page, as both were at least raised in the village that the settlement used to be before becoming what it is now. That place was isolated from the rest of the world so long that no one really knew that much about it anymore at that point. Though what Reva did know was that he was pretty much always in a passive manner, exerting his control and will over all those under his command at what was traditionally considered the max level. Thus, why the traditional one hundred percent was his new zero, and he could go beyond that to possibly what would be considered his new one hundred percent, which would be two hundred percent for everyone else. This had numerous benefits, but it also had numerous downsides as well.
"Getting back on the topic of who this gesturing towards Myne she is, one of my three Directors, Myne," Reva told him.
"Directors, as I thought that you only had one subordinate, where did these three come from?" Carter asked him.
"Cami is my only subordinate, as the Directors are different. They are supposed to be the ruling family of the three domains that make up the human's land. At least they were before everything that happened and the Southern Guardian became forgotten," he told him.
Carter was finding it hard to believe that this girl, who had clearly been working outside so long that she developed a tan line along where her normal working clothes were. That a girl like that was supposed to be part of any ruling class family at all. That is also when Reva pointed out that he said he was supposed to be part of one of the three ruling families of the human lands of the South. However, just like his domain had shrunk until it was just called the Unclaimed, he assumed the same happened to the human equivalent of his own domain. Only assuming that because there was no one like him as his human counterpart, that they did not maintain their lands, and they were absorbed into the other seven lands(consisting of those for the humans and the automatons after all).
"Myne here is the Southern Director, as you can tell who the Director is, regardless of their state when they are found once they have been roboticized," Reva told him, revealing the arrow pointing south on her forehead.
Going on to explain further that he is supposed to have a Southeast and Southwest Director, but hopefully those two will never cross paths with him ever within the future, given what that would mean for him and thus them all. Directors were supposed to use it as a means to take over their homeland for their Guardian, but Myne only knows that she is a Director and has no clue about her what is supposed to be her own lands.
"Guess you lucked out then, huh?" Carter joked.
"Now that you know what you have done, turn everyone back on, as my mom and Page are not coming back on unless you do that or someone causes them to do so," he said.
Reva knew that was the case, as the two of them would remain off as long as everyone else was, unless something endangered them, then they would both turn back on their own to deal with the threat. However, seeing the one time that Page and Alya did do that. Neither Reva nor Carter wanted that to happen again, so they both tried avoiding scenarios where things like that would happen at all. Those were things and events that they do not want repeating themselves for more than once after all. Those two, despite not being mother and daughter, were far more alike. That in and of itself is something that neither Reva nor Carter thought would normally be possible for someone who merely raised alongside her actual child, who did not act like her at all.
