Whitney turned around and saw it was one of the judges from earlier. He thought the man had come to tell him his application had failed, so he bowed dejectedly. "Mr. Vokansen, it's nothing..."
Vokansen, however, was flipping through his application. "Well, I saw you proposed a concept for a 'rotating milling machine,' but there wasn't much detail. If you don't mind..."
Whitney's eyes lit up instantly. "Of course, I have plenty of time to explain it to you in detail."
He followed Vokansen into a nearby room, and began to talk at length: "Oh, it's a very flexible milling machine.
"You know, current milling machines can only process one side of a workpiece, and milling an inclined surface is extremely difficult."
Vokansen, being an expert in machinery, nodded, "Yes, you have to repeatedly remove the workpiece, change the clamping angle, then continue milling."
