Watching his daughter's tranquil and serene sleeping face, Gong Lingtuo's eyes gradually grew wet, tears accumulating until a giant teardrop fell.
He quickly turned his head to prevent the scalding tear from falling on Duoduo's little face.
He gently wiped his face and then stared at his daughter's small face, holding her little hand in his large palm, kissing it repeatedly, feeling that he could never kiss her enough.
Five years ago when they parted, he never thought he would become a father so soon. He had been a father for four years, but only today did he know of his daughter's existence.
His daughter was so beautiful, so smart, so adorable, but fate was cruel to her; her life would be so brief, not even having the chance to grow up before saying goodbye to this world.
Counting the remaining time, Gong Lingtuo felt a sharp pain in his heart, as if someone was incessantly hammering the drum of time beside his ear, urging him to move, causing him stress and impatience.
