Chapter 33 - A cat?

"No... I can't see it," Epek dramatically covered her eyes. "When it's done, tell me, Erik." she said and Erik tsked.

Gyu walked toward the board.

The teacher arrogantly gaze him,and sat on his seat waiting for his apology.

Gyu looked at him, then at Garam.

Garam sat there expressionless, but Gyu knew the crack behind his mask.

"What are you waiting for? Start it."

Gyu looked down and sighed and in the next second he grabbed the book and wrote the question on board.

If Sinθ + Cosθ = 1/2, then find the value of

Sin⁶θ + Cos⁶θ

A collective sigh heard in the classroom.

– He really is so biased.

– why does he have to solve this.

– he intentionally uses that to taunt him.

– Mr. Park is really ridiculous.

"Should we help him," Terry said to Ben. "Do you know how to solve?," Ben asked raising a brow, Terry zipped his mouth.

"That's the question right?," Gyu asked.

Mr park nodded with a proud hint on his face.

"And you know we haven't taught that yet, don't you?" Gyu remarked.

"Does it matter? If you don't know it, just write your apology. You're no better than dumb anyway."

Garam's face clenched, but Gyu's nonchalant gaze kept him curious.

Gyu wrote the answer on board.

37/64

"How? You cheated, You must have seen the answer," Mr. park said, flabbergasted.

"I didn't, I solved it," Gyu plainly said.

"So you're not just a tall talker but a liar too." Mr. Park accused him.

Gyu poked his cheek, "If I solve it thoroughly, what do I get?"

Mr.park raised a brow. This guy has the guts to spit in his face.

"Isn't being in class without detention enough? You want more?"

Gyu solved it step by step. By the time he finished, the entire class was silent.

"How he knows the answer, while we don't.

Is he some mathematics genius." Terry asked Garam. Garam smirked and gave a lopsided smile.

Mr. Park was shocked. "You knew and still played aloof, you played me to appear as a joker."

"And that method isn't the one we taught."

"So what, isn't it the right way to solve it? I used the formula, then the identity and finally the substitution."

Mr. Park sighed heavily. He didn't like the outcome he waited for.

"You can stay," He unwillingly said.

"But don't think i would let it go another time, I will make you all write the letter." he announced to the whole class.

"Oh that," Gyu said lightly. "You'll get it by the end of the day."

Mr. Park didn't know why, but something about the way he said it made the room colder.

While Gyu sat back in his seat and the class continued, throughout the time the students seemed to be at the edge and so the Mr. park.

With that the class ended and Gyu left the room early.

"Won't you ask me to walk together?" Kaven skipped up to him in the hallway.

"Well, you're already here, do I need to?, Don't you have your practice sessions?" Gyu asked.

"I do, but can't left you to walk home alone," Kaven said.

Gyu halted mid-step. He stared at him, then a ripple pipped out of his lips.

"What is this?" he drawled. "Don't tell me your first crush turned out to be me."

His eyes gleamed with amusement.

Kaven choked. "What?! No!," he shouted, How can you always think that way about me!"

Gyu laughed softly and nudged him. "Then stop acting like a babysitter. Go practice."He pushed him toward the field.

Kaven fiddled with his thought but followed.

Gyu watched him leave, shoulder slightly slumped.

"What does he think of me huh, first he mistakes me as a girl, now he thinks I'll be scaredy too." Gyu muttered, though he knew kaven was just caring towards him.

Meanwhile, kaven huffed, "I wouldn't have said this to him if I hadn't seen how he looked after he woke up."

"He definitely had a bad dream." Nonetheless he moved to the practice area.

Garam also left the class.

"Where are you going?" Terry stopped him.

"We have a match by 6 p.m.," he reminded him. Garam slipped his hand free and nod.

Meanwhile, Gyu hopped on his way it's still early for the sun to set.

So the sunlight wasn't strong but still there.

Gyu felt a shadow behind him. His adrenaline rushed up, the nightmare haunted him in the real world too.

he turned without a second thought and his fist connected.

"Ouch!" The person landed on the floor covering his cheek.

"Man you hit really hard," the person groaned.

"What are you doing Ben! You scared me." Gyu have him hands to stand up.

"Oh that's what I'm here for." Ben smiled showing his perfect aligned teeth.

"What? You wanted me to be scared."

"Yeah," he chirped sliding his arms over the shoulder of Gyu, "because your reaction reminds me of my cat."

Gyu's expression faded.

"Hey, that's a joke, why so serious."

"Right," Gyu half-heartedly smiled.

The last time someone compared him to a cat... they didn't stay in his life for long.
