Two months later:
In front of Astra University, a long line of cars crawled along the curb, one after another dropping off students. Suitcases were dragged across the pavement, parents leaned out of windows to give last-minute reminders, and excited chatter filled the air. Today was the first day for new students, better to say fresh high school graduates, stepping into university life for the first time.
Inside a black, low-key luxury car, Hirvan sat in the back seat with his arms crossed. He glanced from the driver's seat to the passenger seat, then let out an annoyed huff.
"Seriously," he said, leaning forward between the two seats, "was it really necessary for both of you to come?"
Elian, who was driving, didn't even look embarrassed. He answered calmly, eyes still on the road. "What are you talking about? Of course, we should drop you off. It's your first day."
