When Mother Qi woke up, she immediately clung to Qi Taiguo, saying over and over that she was scared, that someone was coming to harm her, insisting that Qi Taiguo stay by her side and keep her company. As for Cheng Su, maybe because Qi Taiguo was there and had already lectured her, Mother Qi didn't say anything about her being a jinx this time, but she still didn't show her much of a pleasant face.
Old people can be petty. Even though Qi Taiguo made it clear that all of this had happened because of him, in Mother Qi's eyes, with her pin‑sized heart, she still felt she was the one taking the fall for someone else.
It was just that Cheng Su really did save her at a critical moment, so she held her tongue.
