Isn't it better to change one's way of living?
Cheng Su felt a pang in her nose, her eyes turned red; this was the first time anyone had ever said this to her.
Change her way of living — how did she live before? Cautiously, timorously, always hoping someone would adopt her when she was a child; she wouldn't dare to be disobedient or willful, because she feared even the orphanage might abandon her, leaving her with nowhere to stay.
Later, she grew up, went to school, boarded there. Her classmates all had complete families. During holidays, they went home and had pocket money. As for her, although the director assured her she need not worry about tuition, she never allowed herself to relax, opting to take summer jobs during holidays to earn spending money.
In university, it was the same. She took two tutoring jobs, did odd jobs, earned her own living expenses, never relaxed!
At that time, life was truly tiring; but there was no choice, she had only herself to rely on.
