Fan Building.
Early in the morning, Chen Mu left home and headed straight for Fan Building.
The towering column of light from last night had caused a great stir, and he was very curious about what had happened.
Upon arriving at Fan Building, he realized that he was far from the only one interested in the event.
At this early hour, the building was already packed with people. Even Xu Gui, who usually lingered in more indulgent places, had gotten up early and taken his usual seat by the window.
"Old Lu Gong has lost his mind." Xu Gui muttered to himself, shaking his head and sighing.
"Was that column of light last night the work of the City Lord?" Chen Mu sat down across from him.
"Who else could it be?" Xu Gui sneered.
"At his age, wouldn't it be better to be a City Lord and enjoy his later years? Why get involved in such chaos?"
"Maybe Lord Lu is like an old warhorse with ambitions to hold two Divine Weapons at once." Chen Mu shrugged, unsurprised.
