Cohen Eaton and his three companions stared wide-eyed at Ross, who stood before them with slumped shoulders and a humble gaze.
As Cohen Eaton's assistant, Ross should have been one of the people Cohen Eaton trusted the most.
But now...
"Ross, I remember you've been by my side for seven years, haven't you?"
Cohen Eaton's eyes still carried a look of disbelief.
Ross respectfully replied, "Yes, boss, during these years by your side, I've learned a lot!"
"Why?" Cohen Eaton's voice suddenly grew louder, mixed with anger.
"Why betray me?"
Ross earnestly said, "Mr. Block offered too much, I couldn't refuse!"
"When did it start?"
Cohen Eaton asked Ross.
"In the third month after I started following you, I accepted Mr. Block's invitation,"
answered Ross.
Cohen Eaton was momentarily stunned, then let out a hysterical laugh, "Haha, no blame, not at all!"
Seven years ago, Donnie Block had already placed someone by my side.
