The four players followed Tank through another set of double doors down a straight hallway. As they enter Toby is surprised to see where the matches would be taking place. A gymnasium with the hoops either being up or destroyed with four big mats in the center.
Random guy one- This looks like an abandoned gymnasium.
Tank while wrapping his arm around the guy- That's because it is an abandoned gymnasium.
Rex shoved his finger into the mat feeling it's material.
Rex- This is a wrestling mat.
Tank- Sure is, it's gonna help establish the barrier. Usually when a duel happens inside, the barrier infuses with the room itself making the walls and ceiling indestructible. However, with the four of you standing within the mats the barrier would only form around the exterior of the mats.
Rex- But these mats would tamper with my duel ability.
Tank- Sounds like a you problem. If you can't make the most out of your situation...[his face gets serious] then you won't make the cut.
Rex looks concerned, but acknowledged the advice. Toby looks over also applying the advice to himself. Reaffirming that he can't allow himself to lose. Tank instructs the four to take their places. The four gets in their spots, and puts their guards up getting in their fighting positions.
Player one: Random guy one
Player two: Random guy two
Player three: Rex
Player four: Toby
Judge: Tank
Tank- All Players, REVEAL!
Random guy one- My duel ability is fishing rod. It's allows me to cast a line from my hand, and anybody it touches will be considered as bait.
Toby-(Bait...bait for what?)
Random guy two- My duel ability is quarterback. It turns everyone within the barrier into football players. As the quarterback, whoever I throw the ball to will be targeted by the other players.
Toby-(What's up with these guys. One of them is a fisher and the other is a football player? Whatever.) My duel ability is possession.(shortcutted)
Tank-(Hmm, he can use other people's showdown abilities...[an intriguing smile growed on his face] nice.)
Rex- My duel ability is construction. I can take pieces of the ground and build any construct I desire.
Toby-(So that's what he meant by the mats affecting his duel ability. He doesn't have a clear access point to the ground. This is good, that means I don't really have to worry about him.)
The barrier forms around the four wrestling mats as the players lock in, and fully concentrates.
Tank- Let the duel BEGIN!
Football guy activated his ability, and caused everyone's outfits to change into football uniforms. He then grabbed a football that he created that spawned out of nowhere.
Toby- BRO WHAT IS THIS?!
Random guy two- Did you not listen? Or are you just stupid?
Toby- I didn't think this was a literal thing.
Random guy one- Doesn't matter.
Toby looks over to fisher guy as he puts his right hand out casting a line. The line hits the football guy as fisher guy smiles in confidence.
Random guy one- Gotcha now.
He puts his left hand up as the mat near his feet rippled into a liquid state. The size of a small puddle. A piranha had jumped out of the mat, and dashed towards football guy. He had panicked, and threw his football at the piranha which had clashed causing both to disappear.
Toby-(His duel ability didn't say anything about summoning fishes. Must be his showdown ability then. Good[starts a menacing smile]...with those two fighting each other, all I need to do is just watch, and figure out how his ability work.)
Toby then looks over to Rex who is rubbing his hands together before touching the mat. The ground starts to shake beneath them as they all stare at Rex. Suddenly rocks flew up towards him leaving everyone shocked as he formed a giant fist out of the rocks covering his right arm.
Rex- Alright quarterback, your first.
Random guy two- WHAT?! Why me?
Football guy gets caught completely off guard by fisher guy's piranha biting him in the face. Rex dashed towards him while he fights off the piranha making it disappear.
Rex- Cause your ability SUCKS!
He swings with his right striking football guy with rocks as they burst open causing more damage. He bounces off the wall of the barrier then hits the mat unconscious. The three remaining players outfits change back to normal.
Toby-(His ability is strong, and since that's his duel ability I can't possess it. But fisher guy does have a showdown ability I can use.[He starts to grin]This is getting interesting.)
Rex- Alright, the next person I'm taking down is you.
He points at Toby which catches him off guard.
Toby- Me?
Rex- Yeah, you've just been standing there watching and learning. Planning on striking when the time is right.[he gets in his fighting stance]Your actions will not go unpunished.
Toby while smiling menacingly- Bring it on then.
The two dashed towards each other. Rex was aiming for the portion of the ground he already got through the mat. However, Toby was aiming for Rex. Toby starts swinging punches, but they are being blocked by Rex.
Rex while fighting-(He cut me off?)
Toby while fighting- Not so fast Salazar.
Rex while fighting- Ah, you know about generator rex.
Toby while fighting- As a ben ten fan...yes.
The fisher guy puts both his hands up sending two piranhas towards them. Toby looks and dashes between them. Using his finesse ability, he holds the piranhas by their tail fins. He throws the one in his left hand at Rex. He instinctively blocked with his arm causing panic as the piranha bites on it. Toby dashes towards fisher guy, and smacks him with the piranha in his right hand causing it to disappear. He follows up with a right hook, and knee to the stomach.
Toby- I figured you out fish boy.
Toby then turns around and lift both hands up sending two piranhas towards Rex who just got the first one to disappear. Rex begins to panic even more as the two piranhas attacked him. Toby then gets pushed in the back by fisher guy.
Random guy one- So what if you know my showdown ability. IT'S NOTHING COMPARED TO WHEN IT'S MIXED WITH MY DUEL ABILITY!
He puts his right hand upwards casting a line towards Toby. He sees the line hit him and is shocked by his inability to touch it. Fisher guy puts his left hand up sending a piranha towards him. As he dodges he noticed instead of disappearing it made another puddle in the mat, springing out again. This time Toby not only dodged, but he grabbed the piranha's fin and tossed it towards the fisher guy who ducked downwards to dodge. Toby turned around as he heard rumbling coming from the ground behind him. He sees Rex constructing a large blade of rocks covering his right arm. He swings it getting in his fighting stance, staring at Toby with confidence. Toby puts both hands upwards sending two piranhas towards Rex. Rex had dashed directly for the piranhas slicing them both causing them to disappear. The slashed also caused Rex's rock blade to crumble off as well.
Rex-(Crap, I forgot.)
Toby-(So he can only attack once with his builds huh...[starts to grin] gotcha.)
The fisher guy who still has his line casted on Toby sends out another piranha.
Toby- Alright fish boy, time to take care of you.
Toby punched the piranha in the face causing it to disappear.
Random guy one- He punched my piranha? And why is my vision getting blurry?
Toby dashed towards the fisher guy hitting him with a barrage of right straights. He follows up with a left hook winding back an even more powerful right hook. Tank smiles as the fisher guy hits the ground.
Tank while crossing his arms- Only two players remaining.
