Rise could not help but freeze for a second.
The author killed Kamille? But how and why? He was so momentarily focused on that aspect that he almost forgot to feel angry. As he thought of that, he became calm instead.
It was like a calm before the storm. Rise had too many grievances with that author; he wanted to accumulate them as though doing so would make the explosion later be wider.
"Is he fine now?" Rise asked in a small voice.
Since he calmed down, he finally remembered the other details of what the book had said. Kamille died, but he was also resurrected soon after.
The book did not respond, but its silence was already a confirmation. Rise settled his emotions and let himself ask a few questions.
Who knew when he would return to this space again?
"You said changes occurred? What kind of change?"
This information might help them.
The book appeared generous, willing to answer every question this time.
