Name: Hisuian Aegislash
Category: Cursed Blade
Type: Steel/Ghost
Abilities: Stance Change
Height/Weight: 3'5"/50 lbs
Description: Forged in the violet spirit-fire of a cursed anvil and tempered in the blood of its creator, this blade remains perfectly still within its heavy obsidian scabbard absorbing an endless, surging vortex of ethereal energy.
Its floating armor pauldrons provide a near-impenetrable defense, yet it can unsheathe with such supernatural speed that the eye cannot track its movement.
It remains in total silence until a worthy foe appears, only revealing its edge for a single heartbeat, delivering a lethal soul-severing strike before returning to its sheath in total silence.
Legend tells that the blade does not merely cut its enemies, but actively absorbs the souls and lingering willpower of those it has felled to strengthen its own edge. This devoured essence fuels the purple spectral flames that erupt from its hilt, allowing the blade to remain sharp and lethal for over a thousand years without a single blemish.
Professor Laventon's Observations
"A discovery of most unusual circumstances! While strolling near the training grounds, I happened upon a young man of the Security Corps. At his hip hung a blade of such haunting craftsmanship—obsidian-bound and flickering with a violet, spectral light. Most striking, however, were the two heavy black pauldrons levitating steadily at the boy's shoulders. They did not seem to be armor worn by the lad, but rather floating extensions of the blade's own will, providing a near-impenetrable defense that moved in perfect synchronization with his steps.
I initially mistook them for mere ceremonial relics of the Diamond or Pearl Clans.
How wrong I was! When a stray alpha lunged toward the village gates, he did not draw the weapon; the weapon drew itself. In a heartbeat—the blade exited its scabbard, severed the very air with a purple wake, and returned to its sheath in total silence. The alpha collapsed, its physical form unmarred, yet its 'will' completely extinguished.
Unlike the Aegislash documented in distant lands, which wields a shield, this specimen remains perpetually sheathed in a scabbard of obsidian. It possesses a most peculiar temperament; it will not deign to move for a weak opponent. However, the moment a formidable foe approaches, it unsheathes with a violet flash so swift I mistook it for a crack of lightning! It appears to practice a form of combat strikingly similar to the Iaijutsu arts of our local warriors. I've noted that the violet flames dancing upon its hilt grow more vibrant after a battle. It is my terrifying suspicion that the blade 'drinks' the fighting spirit of those it defeats to maintain its supernatural edge. One must handle this Pokémon with the utmost respect—or risk losing their very soul to its hunger!
I was utterly captivated! I approached the lad immediately. It seems the blade and the boy share a bond of mutual silence and iron discipline. I realized then that a person who commands such a lethal, soul-severing spirit is wasted guarding gates. I have formally invited the young man to join our Survey Corps. With his 'Cursed Blade' at our side, the terrors of the wilds seem much less daunting. I shall call this form 'Hisuian,' though it may well be the only one of its kind in history."
