Chapter 13 - Tsuna's Birthday

Ryuji rolled out of bed early before Tsuna even began to have the chance to rustle. Since he wasn't used to being the one preparing for the morning, he didn't have much experience in the standard procedures so he had to get creative to focus on what he could do. He couldn't cook at all, not even scrambled eggs were in his culinary repertoire and, due to prior experience he knew Tsuna wouldn't be thrilled with a cold ham and cheese sandwich with hot sauce so he decided to prepare in his own way.

Looking to the side of the garbage bin to see some cardboard boxes he had yet to take to the larger trash outside, he decided to dig around till he found a good cardboard box and began to clumsily cut it into a heart shape. Though he had to use a knife to cut through the tape keeping it all together; it cut through seamlessly, in fact too seamlessly, it ended up cutting straight into the finger he was holding it in, making blood drizzle on the side of his hand.

It may not have been much of a worry to him but it was enough to make Tsuna worry if she saw it, so after getting the cardboard heart done and placing it to the side he went to get his hand covered up. He went to look for a glove but no matter how much he looked he only saw his old illustrator's glove. It's a glove that only covers your pinky, ring finger, and your palm. He bought it whenever he wanted to learn how to draw but at some point he ran out of time to use it. The glove looked perfect for the job but, he still had to deal with the bleeding if he wanted to have it on.

So he grabbed a miniature bandaid and put it over the slit. Now that he had stopped focusing on how to fix the problem his brain finally had time to think about just how much this cut really hurt him. Subconsciously he grabbed his wrist tightly, making this small cut's pain look akin to a bullet wound but the pain faded and Ryuji got up, wiping tears with a single cut of toilet paper before moving to the kitchen to throw it away. While he was there he started the kettle and though he may have not known how to cook, he knew how to use the stove for drinks.

Any kind of drink you could fathom he was a savant, alcohol, smoothies, milkshakes, and any form of caffeine. So today Ryuji would make a London Fog for his wife to wake up to. He set it out on the table and began to write a hand written note on a somewhat firm piece of cardboard using a marker. Then on the bottom left side of the heart he left the drink he had made for her.

Tsuna began to drift onto the brink of consciousness, her hand fanangling to find some warmth in the person she was laying next to but nothing. This realization hit her brain like an adrenaline shot, springing up before looking around her. His frame's imprint hadn't been next to her so he must have left long ago and there wasn't a trace of him but it did look a little cleaner from when she left it.

At first she was worried but she knew Ryuji. She would have heard if he had to leave early this morning no doubt. Since everytime he did they would be up extra late complaining about how early they had to wake up. So he'd be somewhere around here. Maybe he had an idea of something to write that woke him up. Though when she walked to the right of their bedroom to get to the office there was no sight of him in there. The intrusive thought of him leaving began to reach into her head, making her worry where he might be.

She wanted to do something with her hands, so she moved to the kitchen to cook herself

something. And there he was, Ryuji was kicking his feet while he sat on top of the counter. Next to a cardboard heart and her favorite non-alcoholic drink. He was looking to the ceiling, assumedly thinking about something. His hair had been long and grown out all the way to his shoulders. His frame only being covered up with a barely buttoned up dress shirt.

The orange sun silhouetted his surprisingly manly figure, Tsuna exhaled, happy he was there. Her brain made her move forward without any command from herself. Their steps must have heavied since they caught Ryuji's attention. His masculine exterior shattered as a smile rushed to his face. Being quick to jump down and grab his wife by the waist picking her up in a bear hug. He spoke, nuzzling his nose into her stomach,

"Good morning my love!"

Tsuna being hoisted into the air giggled. Bending her back so she could hold Ryuji's head with the top of her body. Ryuji's arms were nowhere near as ready as his heart was to hold her like this. So in order to not drop her he slowly began to set her down but her grip stayed. So after he let go her legs began to coil around his waste, squeezing him tight. Tsuna rubbed the top of her head against the nape of Ryuji's head. She spoke with her full chest rubbing the same thing she against her brother,

"Good morning my one and only."

They leaned back from pressing against one another so they could see the other's face. Both of them had an air of confidence to them but the moment they locked eyes it all shattered. Both veering away in embarrassment, then their gaze slowly wandered back to the other. Their lips still quivering, they looked at each other once more then nodded. Leaning into pursing their lips.

His hands crept up her back and through her hair, the other hand moving to hers holding it tight. Their eyes closing so that they can savor the moment without any unnecessary senses. No need for sight since they trust each other enough they need not warning of what the other will do to them. All the other senses existed in this moment as a new flavor to divulge in for the other. The others scent being the only pheromone that they needed at this moment, the others touch making their brain melt, making their urges just one thought away; their future erotic tastes and noises pushing them further but it all started with a kiss. Leaning further into one another letting their bodies, their desires convey what words could not. Yet right before they could the pressure around the bridge quickly began to grow making Ryuji recoil saying,

"Fu-, ah forget it Tsuna, are you ok?"

The two's glasses hit together before their lips could touch, making them both fall back. Tsuna held her glasses staying on Ryuji's waist as he took off his glasses. He may have been squinting and holding back a laugh but she could tell he was doing his best. Struggling to follow up he said meekly,

"You're good right? I think we should take that as an omen and try to keep our clothes on today."

Tsuna smiled, loosening her legs, Ryuji grabbing her waist to set her down to the ground gently before putting her back against Ryuji's chest asking,

"So, are you sure that's what you'll want?"

Ryuji's smile brightened, his brain feeling as if it got injected by euphoria, his mouth rushing to say,

"Yes, I really would. Plus, I want today to be more mushy than steamy."

Tsuna twirled around putting her hands on his cheeks.

"Oh, and what's that occasion?"

Ryuji blinked a few times, gesturing that she should know what he's talking about but nothing. He smiled to himself, moving his hand to caress her cheek, before lightly pinching her ear lobule. Leaning forward to say into her ear, his words carrying a dampness that lingered on her ear,

"You know, you worry yourself sick on me, so much so that you must have fried your brain," Ryuji leaned back then back to her, bringing his face inches from hers looking up, "It's your birthday, you know I'll just say it so you can catch up, happy birthday Tsuna."

Tsuna blinked, dittoing the same motion as her brother before grabbing onto the sides of her shirt pulling them down in embarrassment. Blush rushed to her face as her eyes shot into swirls. Even squirming she managed to mutter out something that was incidentally only intelligible to him,

"Th-ummmimeanthankyouitreallymeansalotthatyouwouldremebersomethinglikethisiknowyouthinkIdoalotforyoubutyoubeinghereismorethanenoughtomakeupforthiskindnessimeanhonestlyanykindnessactuallyforgetkindnessits-a," Tsuna gripped her shirt pulling it down so much it tore. Taking a moment to take a deep breath then exhaling, before saying, "Thank you for staying beside me big bro."

Ryuji stopped pinching her and kissed her on the forehead before saying, his hands firmly on her waist.

"It's because you're my wife. If I wouldn't stay by your side, then I don't know who I would stay by."

He moved his hand to ruffle her hair then it glided down her cheek before he beckoned her with an open hand bowing. His voice carried a pompous tone as he broadcasted his pleasantries,

"So, I'm at your service. What do you want me to do today?"

Tsuna grabbed his hand and brought it as high as she could, twirling around into his chest. In his embrace she looked up to him smirking saying,

"Hmmm, let me think. I think a good place to start would be to take my other hand then we'll see where we go from there."

Tsuna spiraled off of her brother's chest uncoiling, the two cupped their hands and began to slow dance. Neither of their eyes thought to wander from the other's gaze, the only change during this quiet moment being the tightening of Ryuji's grasp on Tsuna's hand. The two were slowly dawdling through the kitchen before Tsuna picked up the pace, lunging to the side transitioning into a dash where each step matched the tempo of the song.

Once they made it into the living room she whipped Ryuji's body with the momentum. After he got his ground she crouched down slightly before pouncing back up on him, making him fall back onto the couch. The two stayed there laying in each others presence for a bit before Tsuna spoke teasingly,

"You know I felt it right?"

Ryuji shook his head confused,

"Your'e my wife, why are you acting like this is new. Of course I find you attractive."

Tsuna giggled, hitting Ryuji in the shoulder before she grabbed at his gloved hand. She brought it to her cheek leaning into it. The pudge of her cheeks cushioning it.

"I know who you are bro, you aren't one to leave any cloth between me and you so, obviously something happened."

She took off the glove that covered Ryuji's cut, examining it before putting it back on her cheek, smearing blood on her, making her smile brighten. Ryuji looking at her amused taunting,

"Aren't you meant to be scared of this blood and gore stuff."

After he stopped talking she pried herself off his hand, the blood beginning to stiffen them together. Then brought his hand to her chin saying,

"Yeah, I may be plenty scared of all that but in what world would I be scared of myself? So blood so similar to mine doesn't phase me, one, bit."

She then stuck out her tongue lapping up the blood from the bridge of his fingers. Leaning back to mount on his lap before taking a moment to look at their popcorn ceiling. Then stopping, falling back onto his chest with a big exhale. She spoke into his chest,

"Lets not do it today, I know we both have the day off but," She moved both her hands to hold him tightly, "I just want to dote on you today," She looked up to him, "Is that fine?"

Ryuji ran his fingers through her hair.

"Yeah, of course. I already said I wanted this anyway, plus it's your birthday so, I think the odds would be in your favor even if you asked me to help you get away with homicide."

Tsuna giggled,

"Just say murder like most people weirdo. Also by the way did you end up disinfecting the wound?"

Ryuji froze.

"I don't think I did."

He motioned to get up but Tsuna didn't move. Though she did speak,

"Later."

"Bu-"

"I said later, it's my birthday."
