The taxi driver reacted swiftly, slammed on the brakes, sharply turned the steering wheel, and rushed into the field by the roadside.
Sitting in the car, Er Jingong's face turned pale as cold sweat instantly soaked his back. He saw clearly just now that the speeding dump truck seemed to deliberately swerve towards them.
If it wasn't for the taxi driver's quick reflexes, directly charging into the roadside field, he would have been in yet another traffic accident.
"Dude...bro, can I borrow your phone? I need to make a call."
The taxi driver, still in shock, called for rescue, knowing that their power alone couldn't lift the car from the field to the highway.
Er Jingong got the phone and hurriedly made two calls, but neither went through.
On the third call, it finally connected.
"Hey, weren't you locked up? How are you making a call?
What? You've been released?
Do you know there's been a major crackdown, today they arrested a bunch of people."
