Suddenly, the ground erupted with flames, distorting everything around. It appeared as if circles of fire were continuously spiraling toward the center.
The flames roared, engulfing the Old Ghost within. A few seconds later, just as the Taoist thought his trap had succeeded, the Old Ghost emerged from the flames wearing shoes.
He raised his head, his eyes murky, looking at the Taoist.
"Are you the one in charge?"
The Taoist's expression turned solemn, remaining silent, swiftly making other preparations.
But in the next moment, his face changed drastically. The Old Ghost's hand had already sunk into his chest, and he felt his soul being pulled by a terrifying power, almost unable to resist.
