Chapter 400 - 400. The Prophecy

WE have come a long long way. 400 chapters. That's a lot.

Cheers to more.

"Weavile lost its ability to fight, meaning Eevee won! Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for this year's Aura Guardian—Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town!" The referee announced Ash's victory and gave him a spectacular introduction.

Eevee ran back and began celebrating with Pikachu when an Aipom suddenly ran in, pulling Eevee and Pikachu's hands and spinning them around, looking even more happier than Eevee that she won.

A faint blue light flashed on Ash's eyes, he sensed the enormous amount of Aura on that Aipom's body, and he knew it was very special.

Although he forgot practically all of the canon, and especially the movie plot lines, he understood enough to make a good educated guess.

Moreover, there was an inexplicable feeling of familiarity, something he didn't know where he had come into contact with this feeling.

But what is certain is that the little guy in front of him is definitely not as simple as an ordinary Aipom. He squatted down and gently touched Aipom's head, "Little guy, you can play with my Pikachu and Eevee, okay? "

Hearing Ash's words, Aipom really nodded, took Pikachu and Eevee and ran away to play.

Only Ralts was left next to Ash. It had been sitting quietly on Ash's shoulder since the beginning of the tournament, looking like a quiet noble young lady, which was very cute.

The white armored opponent on the opposite side walked over and took off his helmet, revealing their true face.

However, before they could even take off their helmet, Brock was immediately summoned, meaning only one thing was possible.

Ash was surprised that the opponent in full armor turned out to be a good-looking young lady.

"I'm Kidd Summers, so just call me Kidd. It's a pleasure to meet the world famous Ash Ketchum!" The young lady introduced herself. It wasn't just her who already knew Ash's name, but also all the audience members when the referee said his name.

Some, like Kidd and Queen Ilene, recognized him despite his face being covered in a veil of Aura, making most people unable to recognize him at a glance.

"My name is Brock. I hope this beautiful lady can become my dance partner!" Brock came up to me at some point, but was taken away by his Spinda, the same one with the broken heart pattern.

When leaving Pewter City and embarking on the journey again, Brock left his Ludicolo at the Gym to help out with the household chores, with him now carrying only his broken heart spot patter Spinda with him.

As night fell, in the largest banquet hall of the castle, the guests in their best clothes gathered here. Her Royal Highness Ilene was going to hold a ceremony just for Ash.

She took a long staff with a beautiful ornate crystal on the top from an elder's hand and came to Ash's, "Sir Ash, this is the very staff of the legendary Aura Guardian Sir Aaron of Rota once used. It is only given to the winner of the Pokémon Tournament held in his honor. Only those who are truly worthy are honored to be given this staff."

At this moment, Ash's eyes were fixed on the beautiful staff in front of him. It looked very old, but it was well maintained.

The most eye-catching thing was the crystal inlaid on it. Ash was sure that he could feel a very special Aura flowing in it.

"Please accept this staff, Sir Ash!" Queen Ilene solemnly handed over the staff to Ash.

Ash came back to his senses and couldn't wait to take it. Sure enough, the moment he laid his hands on it, an undetectable light flashed through the crystal, but it felt completely different to Ash.

The power of the Aura Force can be easily transmitted through this long staff. This is the most suitable symbol and weapon for a true Aura Guardian.

"Why...."

At the same time, a question sounded next to Ash's ears.

A faint blue light shone on his whole body, and the power of his Aura Force, which had now almost reached an advanced level according to Ciel, began to slowly be transmitted into the crystal. In fact, even if he doesn't activate the power of the Aura Force in his body, it will slowly seep into him.

Just then, Her Royal Highness Queen Ilene announced the most solemn event of this celebration, "In order to honor the great late Sir Aaron, the brave Aura Guardian who once protected the peace of this land for all of us, let us all celebrate this wonderful night together!"

The music started immediately and the costume party truly began.

Brock plucked up the courage to invite Kidd to a dance. In such an atmosphere, Kidd naturally didn't refuse Brock. The three Cerulean sisters also found each other to dance along with, looking at Ash on the stage with a smile on their face from a distance.

May was also having a great time, talking with some nearby Pokémon Contest participants, with Max, a natural born naughty kid, guarding the big table of delicious food and desserts for the group. Only Ash had to sit next to His Highness Ilene and could not leave his seat.

This was the location where the Aura Guardian Aaron once stood, but honestly, it was really boring to sit here doing nothing. Pikachu and Eevee were even brought into play by the Aipom.

"Ra Ralts!"

Probably feeling Ash's feelings, Ralts disappeared instantly, and when she came back, she was holding a large piece of cake with her powers.

"This..." The nanny on the side was about to stop, but was stopped by Queen Ilene.

Seeing the little guy using Confusion to cut a small piece of cake and put it into Ash's mouth, Queen Ilene was really envious seeing this, "Ash, you have such a good relationship with Pokémon."

"Naturally. Ralts has been with me from the moment she hatched from an Egg. I love her, and she reciprocates that feeling by loving me," Ash explained with a smile, reaching out and tapping Ralts' little head, "You can eat the rest."

After hearing this, the little girl sat on Ash's shoulder and slowly enjoyed the cake.

Just when Ash was about to stand up a little, Ilene took his hand and sat him down. "If I can't walk around, neither can you, S-I-R Ash."

She especially smiled at him sweetly.

To Ash, this was the exact same kind of smile he gets from Maya when she is wanting something but won't say directly. With the amount of girls he had, it would be weird if he didn't understand what she wanted. So he did what she wanted.

He fed her a piece.

Ash took a little piece from the saddened Ralts, "Say ahhh…"

"Ahhh!" Ilene didn't hesitate, even with her longtime maid giving her the disapproving look.

"Yummy! Thanks, Ash. To be honest, when it comes to food, everyone is really strict with me—and I'm the Queen!" She said with a little annoyance.

Hearing her now acting less like a Queen and more like a girl similar to age with Maya, he couldn't help but make the comparison.

"You know, you remind me so much of someone I know, Your Highness."

Ilene looked up and gave him a wink, "Oh, so you know another Queen?" She asked jokingly.

"Yeah." Ash didn't hesitate for a second.

"Well, I know more than just one. But just am… just am a little closer to one than any other."

Ilene looked at him differently now. "I really shouldn't expect anything less than the world famous Ash Ketchum. So who's the lucky lady?"

Ash smiled at her, remembering it's been a while since he had last seen his beloved Maya. "Maya. Queen Maya, the Holy Priestess of the Sea."

Now she was really taken aback. Not by who Maya was, but by how close Ash seemed with her. To her, it almost seemed like the two were more than simple acquaintances.

'Maya… is she my only competition? Queen Rin, what kind of prophecy did you leave for your descendants? Am I supposed to take away another lady's man?'

She silently complained about the prophecy left behind by her great ancestors, Queen Rin of Rota and Sir Aaron of Rota.

In that prophecy, it was mentioned that a great, absolute powerhouse of man with great bond, a yellow rat with the world on his shoulders would one day appear, and that man would become her husband.

The details were very clear, so she did not have to wait every year and test if the winner of that year's competition would be her husband. The details were perfectly describing Ash… especially with the handsome, powerful, and dazzling Aura part.

And from what she could see, right now, Ash definitely had a relationship with that beautiful May girl, and maybe that Maya girl he smiled at, but that's it.

Ilene just shook her head, continuing her conversation with Ash. Doing her best to learn more about him.

The man the world "absolutely loved."

At the same time, Kidd asked Brock to get some drinks that weren't being served, and she took the opportunity to leave the banquet hall and climbed out of the window.

She didn't have the heart to break Brock, but she didn't have much of a choice.

She climbed up to the roof and used some high tech stuff to climb to the highest point of the castle. From that direction, she used a telescope to look far into the distance, only to find that Pikachu, Eevee and Aipom were having fun in one of the many attics of the ancient castle.

This attic in particular seemed to be a secret space. One could see that it is filled with all kinds of toys. The three little guys were all very excited to play with the toys...

At this moment, the Aipom changed shape again.

It was indeed Mew, with the ability to freely transform into any Pokémon. This is why Ash could feel such a special and powerful Aura from its body. He even had a haunch about what Pokémon it could be despite pretty much forgetting everything about this movie.

"I found it!" Kidd murmured, and two Weaviles jumped out from behind, "Listen, you two go and install this transmitter on Mew!"

These two Weaviles were very skilled at their job. They took the transmitter and ran towards the attic.

What's interesting is that, despite being trained assassins (that did not go for the neck), these two Weaviles broke into the window in a high-profile manner, stretched out their claws and attacked Mew.

It seemed their idea of a quiet work was to knock Mew down, and then do their work.

Now wasn't this funny?

Even if Mew was being extra extra playful and didn't even take their existence seriously, how could Pikachu and Eevee let the two darkies go unchecked?

Mew's floating figure just swayed from the range to avoid the attack. Pikachu's figure flashed and with just a regular turn tail, not a move (especially Iron Tail), knocked a Weavile away.

Eevee recognized the other at a glance as the Weavile whom she had fought and defeated during the day. Without any hesitation, Swift swept over and surrounded it.

Seeing the fight in the attic, Kidd sighed, "It's gone too far. I just asked those two to install a transmitter, not fight. I really can't curb their fighting tendencies even after all those missions."

Then she became a little more serious, "But Ash's Pokémon are really too strong!" She said as if she could have finished her mission without Pikachu and Eevee not interfering.

Although Mew was definitely one of the nicest and kindest Pokémon's out there, it was still a Mythical Pokémon, the same one that's said to be the "ancestor of all Pokémon."

The two Weavile had no resistance in front of Pikachu, and with Eevee as an assistant with her, Swift trapped the two Weavile. Then combined with Pikachu's little Thunder Shock, they quickly beat them to a perfect crisp on the outside and tender on the inside.

However, Mew, who realized that his whereabouts had been discovered, with some annoyance, decisively used Teleport to take all three of them to immediately disappear from their current location.

Kidd was stunned, but her natural instinct of doing every random mission told her Mew's Teleport was not too far away, so she looked around.

Soon, she found three Pokémon appearing in mid-air, and then Mew turned into a Pidgeot, taking Pikachu and Eevee towards a rocky mountain that looked like a big tree in the distance.

The two Weavile came back to her, and she turned around and complained, "You two are so out of control and extra, getting serious right away for nothing."

Then she sighed again for the unknown time that day, "Maybe it's because all my training has failed… looks like I need to work harder to train your two into the perfect mix of agile assassins and powerful warriors… Maybe that volcano in Cinnabar Island would be a perfect place to train, I heard there's powerful energy readings coming from it the past few months."

The two Weavile just cried bitterly, knowing they can't do anything to escape this.

Anyway, Kidd immediately had an idea when she thought of the relationship between Pikachu, Eevee and Ash. But at this moment, Ash finally unlocked the secret of this Aura Staff after physically coming into contact with Irene in a rather promiscuous position.
