Although I had told Lily that we might stay for two or three more days, there was no need to wait. Unlike the Grand Line, we didn't require a Log Pose here. I decided that we would set sail today.
I would be completely skipping the Baratie arc. I already had another female chef planned for my crew, and I had no interest in recruiting Sanji. His personality didn't fit my ship, and I had no intention of bringing someone perverts like that on my ship of beautiful women.
Once we finished restocking supplies, our next destination would be Cocoyasi Village, Nami's hometown.
There, I planned to deal with the Arlong Pirates. There was also Nojiko, Nami's sister, another woman who would be useful for completing hidden missions and future plans.
With all this in mind, I decided to end our stay in Syrup Village as soon as possible.
Lost in thought, I headed toward the kitchen to eat. Kaya, Nami, and Kuina were already there, having breakfast.
Kaya's butler, Merry, was serving the food. It seemed he had arrived early in the morning to prepare everything for his young lady.
I still didn't see Lily anywhere, so I activated my Observation Haki. She was eating breakfast at a villager's house, stuffing food into her rubbery mouth while laughing loudly. She looked like she was enjoying herself far too much.
I made a mental note to inform her that we would be leaving the village today, if possible.
"Alex, what are you standing there for?" Nami called out. "Come and eat. You were fucking Kaya all night yesterday, so you must be starving."
"You pervert!" Kuina shouted, her face turning red.
Both Nami and Kaya were blushing, while Kuina stared at me with sharp eyes. I knew exactly what she had been doing last night as well, thanks to my hidden mission notifications, but I chose to ignore it for now.
"Girls," I said calmly, "our stay in Syrup Village is over. We'll be setting sail today, so be prepared."
Nami and Kuina didn't look surprised, but Kaya hesitated. Leaving her hometown wasn't easy.
"Don't worry," I reassured her. "This adventure will only last a few years. After that, we'll return here and stay for a long time."
"I understand," Kaya replied. Though reluctant, she agreed. She had known this moment would come and had prepared herself for it.
The saddest person in the room was Merry. He looked like he wanted to say something, but when he saw the mix of fear and excitement on Kaya's face, he held his words back.
"Don't worry, Miss," he said finally. "I will take good care of this mansion until the day you return."
"Thank you, Merry," Kaya replied softly.
Nami and Kuina said nothing, but they each held Kaya's hand, offering silent support. Kaya looked at them and smiled, showing that she was ready for her new pirate life, no matter how uncertain it felt.
We finished our breakfast in silence. Afterward, I instructed Nami, Kaya, and Kuina to prepare supplies and pack their belongings. Then, I set out to find Lily.
