Xiao Bao, munching on some fruit, couldn't resist dropping a bombshell.
"Dad, I went to Second Sister's room last night and saw her chatting with a super handsome boy."
Lin Feng, who was chopping vegetables, immediately stopped and turned to look at Er Bao. The others all looked over as well.
Er Bao's laughter died in her throat. She quickly explained, "He's my classmate! It's not the kind of relationship you're imagining."
Xiao Bao leisurely ate her fruit. "That boy is super good-looking!"
Er Bao nodded earnestly. "He is, but we're just friends!"
Si Bao raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "For real?"
Seeing their expressions, Er Bao knew exactly what they were thinking. Unable to argue, she confessed a part of the truth. "He's pursuing me, but I haven't said yes."
Si Bao was about to speak, but she quickly cut him off. "Don't tell me that when you guys were in college, nobody ever chased after you!"
Lin Feng watched as his four older children fell silent.
