Chapter 112 - THE FALLEN ANGEL

Inside the meeting room of Black Paradise, the digital projection of Susan slowly steps forward.

The room falls silent.

"That will be all for today's meeting," she says calmly. "We will continue this discussion another time."

Her eyes narrow slightly.

"I'm afraid yet another battle is already approaching."

She snaps her fingers.

A massive digital screen appears in the air, displaying the dark ocean above as hundreds of ships flying across the water like a moving army.

Standing at the front of the fleet is a familiar figure.

The Gem Noble Iris, surrounded by her noble army.

Rose immediately recognizes the threat.

"That must be another Gem Noble," she says.

Vel sighs deeply, rubbing her eyes with exhaustion.

"Give us a break already… we've been in this meeting for days, and now this again?"

Before anyone else can respond, Yunbam suddenly yells.

"Duty calls! Dad, let's go!"

Wade immediately grabs Yunbam's wheelchair and pushes him quickly toward the exit.

Basil watches them leave.

"Are they really going to keep sending more Gem Nobles?"

Hank rolls his shoulders a few times, loosening his muscles.

"They probably won't stop until every last one of us is gone."

As he heads out, Tidus stands up slowly.

The rainbow tattoos across his body begin glowing with radiant energy.

"Lady Susan," he says with conviction. "What are your orders? We will fight in the name of our King Nox."

Susan quietly gives a signal to Kelay.

Kelay nods.

"Tidus, you're with me. Let's gather the others."

The two of them immediately rush out of the room.

Ezzy looks down at her own hand, clenching it tightly.

"I'm glad we chose to trust you, Boa…" she murmurs. "You gave us all a chance to fight! We fight for the same purpose!"

Rose grabs Ezzy and Vel by the shoulders and pushes them toward the door.

"Come on! We need to get everyone ready."

Soon the room begins to empty.

Basil adjusts the lens of his robotic eye before turning toward the center of the room.

"What should we do with him?"

Chained to the chair in front of them is Kairo.

Susan walks past Basil and stops in front of the restrained Gem Noble.

"Now that we understand each other's purposes a little better," she says calmly, "perhaps we should stop fighting and consider joining sides."

Kairo slowly raises his head.

"You think telling me a small piece of your backstory will change my loyalty?"

His voice is cold.

"If what you showed us is true… then you should already know something."

He glares at her.

"It is impossible to fight against them."

"You're risking everything."

"We will stop this… and do it our way."

Basil tilts his head slightly.

"Susan… you know far more about the origins of Oasis than you're letting on."

His robotic eye glows faintly.

"I could see fragments of Kairo's memory data entering your mind while we were discussing Project Universe."

Susan nods casually.

"Yeah. I've got everything now."

She glances at Basil.

"And since you're not human anymore… it will be easier to show you."

She reaches up and pulls a small digital USB chip from her temple.

"Since you're a robot now, your mind can process information much faster than humans."

"I've already converted all of Kairo's memories into this digital file. You should be able to review everything in seconds."

Basil raises his digital eyebrow.

"That's convenient… though it would've been great if you had a file like this for Project Universe."

He chuckles slightly.

"Instead we had a meeting that lasted for days."

"And if I had to guess… we've probably only seen fifty percent of the plan so far."

Susan smiles faintly.

"You're correct."

"But it must be done this way."

She shrugs lightly.

"I wouldn't want to spoil all the fun in mere seconds."

She inserts the chip into Basil's robotic head.

Immediately his eyes flood with cascading streams of data.

Images, memories, battles, histories.

After a moment, Basil inhales deeply.

"I see now…"

"That's how Oasis began…"

He slowly turns toward Kairo.

"Kairo… we're in the same situation. All of this fighting is only stalling time for us all."

Kairo's eyes narrow.

"Then show me everything. All of your plans. Only then will I decide."

Susan sighs lightly.

"It will take quite a while to convert the entirety of Project Universe into a digital format humans can process. Humans simply can't review data in seconds the way we can."

Suddenly, Kairo's voice changes, it becomes deeper and colder.

"Too late. You've run out of time."

Both Basil and Susan freeze.

Slowly… the chains around Kairo begin snapping apart under overwhelming strength.

"This thousand-year plan of yours," the voice continues, "will crumble here and now."

One of Kairo's eyes turns completely white.

At the same time, his left arm transforms, stretching outward into a massive white Angel wing.

With a single swing of his arm, a violent gust erupts across the room.

Basil is thrown backward and slammed into the wall.

Susan narrows her eyes.

"Ah the boss has arrived… so parts of you has been hiding inside each Gem Noble."

The angelic voice speaks again.

"All of your actions are causing Isha's world level to rise steadily into the danger zone. The existence of RA will lead to the destruction of everything. I will not allow it. Your plans are interfering with mine."

Suddenly a radiant white digital field erupts from Kairo's body, spreading across the entire room.

At the same time, a grey digital field bursts outward from Susan.

The two energy domains collide violently, tearing the space around them as they push against each other like opposing universes.

Susan crosses her arms calmly.

"Do not worry. Our plan is far superior to yours. It was created by the greatest minds of a mortal… a god… and even a demon."

She smirks slightly.

"Joining forces with you was only our Plan B and honestly… I would prefer that option, it would make everything much easier."

The angel's voice echoes with intensity.

"Then prove it.... Show me your strength. Show me that you can truly save us all."

Kairo unleashes a massive wave of white aura around his body as Susan remains completely calm.

She raises her hand.

From her grey domain emerges a massive digital wolf, its body composed of swirling code and shadow.

"If proof of strength is what you want… You shall have it."

The wolf roars.

Kairo lunges forward.

The two forces collide in a violent explosion of energy.

The shockwave shatters the windows of the skyscraper.

Basil is blown through the glass and sent flying out into the open air.

He plummets from the towering building.

At the last moment, thrusters ignite from his palms and feet, slowing his fall before he lands hard on the busy streets below.

Across the city, emergency alarms continues to blare.

Basil steadies himself after landing on the crowded streets below.

He looks up at the towering skyscraper above him.

At the top of the building, violent bursts of white and grey energy continue exploding through the upper floors.

"She can handle herself," Basil mutters under his breath.

"I need to do my part."

Without wasting another second, he turns and runs.

Far out above in the deep ocean, the calm water suddenly begins to tremble.

The ocean floor splits open.

From the depths, a colossal creature rises.

The digital Leviathan bursts out of the water, its massive body glowing with streams of data and energy as it ascends into the sky directly in front of Iris and her enormous fleet.

Iris watches calmly from the deck of her command ship.

"So there it is," she says quietly.

"The beast that protects RA."

She raises her hand.

Immediately, hundreds of ships surrounding the ocean begin firing massive laser cannons at the flying Leviathan.

Beams of light streak through the sky.

But before they can reach their target, enormous digital walls appear around the Leviathan, blocking the attacks.

Thousands of explosions erupt across the sky and ocean.

The Leviathan opens its mouth.

A massive beam of energy erupts outward, instantly destroying dozens of noble ships.

Flames and wreckage rain down into the ocean.

Iris narrows her eyes.

"This battle is pushing the world-level even higher," she murmurs.

"I need to end this quickly… before they arrive."

She summons her staff.

Suddenly, several floating digital screens appear beside her.

Within each screen stands the shadowy figure of another Gem Noble.

"You are not allowed to use that power!" one of them shouts.

"You need permission from the Boss!"

"Iris, this will only make things worse!"

Iris's expression hardens.

"Improvise and create a distraction," she orders coldly.

"You all know how important this is."

One by one, the screens disappear.

Her staff begins glowing.

Dozens of Nova Crystals appear around her in a circular formation, spinning rapidly as they open a glowing portal.

Within a single second a devastating white beam of energy blasts out of the portal and races toward the Leviathan.

But just before the beam strikes, a figure bursts from the Leviathan's head.

It is Tidus, holding his diamond spear.

"For the King!"

He raises the spear high.

At that moment, the Leviathan's entire body transforms into solid diamond armor.

The massive creature dives straight into the incoming beam.

The white energy detonates violently, spreading across the sky and ocean in a blinding explosion.

Iris shields her eyes from the intense light.

She glances down at the digital display on her wrist.

The world-level counter is climbing rapidly from 9 to 15

"That should be enough," she says quietly.

She lowers her staff, stopping the attack.

As the light fades, Iris looks up again to see the Leviathan is still floating in the air.

Its diamond armor slowly breaks apart piece by piece.

"What…? It survived?!"

Before she can react, Tidus leaps off the Leviathan and drives his spear into a nearby airship causing them to explode instantly.

At the same time, dozens of ships across the ocean begin exploding one after another.

Iris turns in shock.

Across the battlefield, robotic battle beasts tear through her fleet of ships.

Suddenly, a figure appears in front of her.

Kelay, wearing her dark armored suit.

Their weapons collide instantly.

Kelay's lightsaber crashes against Iris's staff.

"You traitor," Iris snarls.

"I'll be happy to finish you myself."

They clash again and again, sparks of energy flashing between them.

Suddenly, Basil's voice comes through Kelay's comms.

"Change of plans! We're staying! Zion is already here!"

At the outer edge of Black Paradise, Zion's warship smashes through the city's protective barrier.

The enormous vessel floats above the city skyline.

Inside the command deck, Zion stares down at the city below.

"Sunny… it's time."

"Roger that," Sunny responds through the comms.

Suddenly, the ship fires a dozen beams of light toward the city.

Each beam strikes a different location across Black Paradise, B&B Town, and Prismatic Village.

When the light fades, massive Nova Crystal devices are revealed.

The devices activates, portals open, and from them emerge noble tanks, combat robots, drones, and waves of soldiers.

Chaos spreads throughout the city.

In B&B Town, Rose, Vel, and Ezzy fight alongside dozens of Boas against the invading nobles.

In Prismatic Village, armored villagers fight desperately to defend their homes while Wade and Hank assist them in battle.

Back aboard Zion's ship, Sunny scans the city.

"Sir, we cannot locate the civilians in the city," he reports.

"They appear to have retreated underground. Our drones have discovered their primary evacuation tunnel."

Zion stands as his battle armor forms around his body.

"Rush them," he commands coldly.

"Kill them all."

Hundreds of soldiers and combat robots march toward the giant tunnel entrance.

The massive gates are closing as standing before them is Yunbam, still seated in his chair.

But then, he stands.

Mechanical braces support his legs.

"You'll have to go through me first," he says calmly.

The soldiers immediately open fire.

But Yunbam vanishes in a flash of light.

In the next moment—

Lightning erupts across the city streets.

Yunbam moves faster than the eye can see.

He kicks through the enemy ranks with devastating lightning strikes.

Robots and soldiers are thrown aside as electricity tears through them.

"I still have some of Boa's power left So fight me with honor!" he shouts.

Back on Zion's ship, Zion watches the live feed.

"That troublesome boy…He still carries Boa's lingering power."" he mutters.

Suddenly, Zion is tackled off his ship.

Both he and his attacker crash through a nearby building.

They slam into the street below.

Zion stands up slowly to see Basil was the one who attacked him.

"So you're still alive…Brother."

Standing before him Basil puts his arms out.

"Zion… this has to stop," Basil says urgently.

"We're fighting for the same purpose! I can explain everything but it will take some time!"

Zion activates his laser blades and attacks immediately.

"We don't have time! The restricted area must be destroyed now!"

Meanwhile, inside the collapsing skyscraper, the digital wolf and Kairo continue their brutal battle.

They crash through floor after floor.

Kairo smashes into the ground but quickly blocks the wolf's massive bite using his winged arm.

"This power…" he growls.

"It contains both demonic and divine energy… It makes no sense."

The wolf bites harder and slams him repeatedly against the walls and floors.

Finally it releases him and spins into the air, forming a massive sphere of energy.

The wolf fires the attack.

Kairo deflects the blast upward with his winged arm.

The explosion tears through the upper floors.

Kairo retaliates.

His wing slashes through the wolf, releasing thousands of glowing feathers that pierce its body.

The wolf explodes into digital fragments.

The fragments begins rising upward.

Kairo looks up, just in time to see Susan diving toward him.

The fragments gathers around her arm, forming a massive digital wolf head.

"Demonic Wolf!"

She slams the attack downward.

Kairo counters with a powerful wing strike.

Their attacks collide, causing the entire skyscraper explodes in a blinding eruption of white and grey light.

The explosion illuminates all of Black Paradise.

Basil and Zion stop fighting.

as this light stuns everyone in place.

The light is so intense it even shines upwards towards the ocean battlefield.

For a moment, the entire war stops.

Moments later.

Inside a dark digital realm, a tear of white and grey light opens in the sky.

Kairo crashes onto the digital ground as Susan steps out of the tear behind him.

Kairo's white eye fades as his winged arm disappears.

Bleeding heavily, he crawls backward, fully in control of his body.

"What happen?"

Susan walks calmly toward him.

"It took some time," she says.

"But I traced the source of your energy leak… and it led me here."

Kairo coughs blood.

"How can your power do such a thing like this?! That should be impossible!"

Susan shrugs slightly.

"Nothing is impossible when you've been planning all possible outcomes for a thousand years."

Suddenly, a massive digital gate opens in the distance.

Light pours from within.

A tall figure walks through.

White hair.

Silver eyes.

Torn wings behind his back.

Susan studies him carefully.

"So this is where you've been hiding all this time… Fallen Angel."

She tilts her head.

"And you are?"

The angel speaks calmly.

"You've proven yourself, I am Raziel...just letting you know you've ruined my plans. But I can still buy us some time."

He steps closer.

"So explain yourself… Lady Susan."

Suddenly, dozens of digital screens appear around them.

Each screen shows a planet.

On one of them, a massive magical explosion erupts.

That planet's world-level jumps instantly to 30.

As an Angel arrives shortly after as the Angel then begins to destroy it.

Susan watches quietly.

"So you've came prepared as well."

She steps forward.

"Time is of the essence… so it's better to show than explain. Since you're not mortal… this will be much easier."

She reaches out and touches Raziel's hand.

Instantly, His eyes fill with blinding streams of magical data, all of Project Universe.

Raziel stands frozen in shock as the overwhelming information floods his mind.
