"It's cold here, I wonder if it's only me who is feeling this way?" Toshiro questioned, to which Tairo replied, "You are not the only one; there is indeed a drop in temperature. Observe others in the surroundings." Toshiro began to look at his classmates, who were also pondering the same. Everyone now has a good sense of the changes around them. I have been feeling nauseous since entering. I don't know why it is happening. I can see that some are on the verge of puking out. What the hell is this place? At first, I could feel that this place was indeed different, even though I was on campus. It's as if we are in.... as I continued pondering, Arvyan called out to me, "We are in pseudo space." he was walking towards me with Sanyara beside him and another classmate behind him. I was intrigued by that term.
"What is that? Never heard of it before." I asked him. "It will be a drag for me to explain to you, and I got to know about it from her, so you should ask her," he pointed to a girl standing behind him, shyly wearing glasses. Wow, what a lazy ass can't even explain it to me and is telling someone else to explain it. I cursed him internally. I recovered from it quickly and extended my greetings to the girl. The girl with red hair shyly accepted my greetings and began to introduce herself in a very shy and stuttering voice, "Hello, Svarbhan, I am Roselyn Whitmore, a classmate of yours. It's a pleasure meeting you." I mentally noted to myself to always give attention to my classroom. I never tried talking to anyone in my classroom besides Tairo from the very first. "Well, to entertain your curiosity about pseudo space, it is a skill that needs a high concentration to create a different space at the same plane, but not consume space. It is mostly used for storage. It doesn't break any law of the world, like time flows indifferently, or anything else that can defy the logic of the world. Well, the Awakaner use these skills to ambush enemies; it's a basic strategy for them. However, I am surprised that it can be created this big and implemented this way. I am intrigued in a way."
"I see it's an impressive skill on its own. To think professor could pull it off effortlessly and call it child's play is even more amazing. But how did you know all of these? It's kind of impressive." As I was addressing her, an arm wrapped around my shoulder from the back said, "Dude!! You need to pay more attention in class. Are you literally asking these kinds of questions to the topper of our class?" Tairo spoke, and I replied with a confused "Heinn...?"
"You seriously need friends besides me, bro. I can't even blame you for always leaving classes early and not coming on the result day, so yeah, you would be clueless," as Tairo was nagging me, Toshiro and Roselyn exchanged brief greetings with each other, as if they already knew each other. "You are the last one to say that I attend every class and.." I added awkwardly."I miss the results because I am not interested in them."
"Are you saying my mature acting idol is this lazy and nonchalant?" Arvyan screamed, "I can't accept it!" Looking at him, I was puzzled as to why the fuck is he crying, and since when did I become an idol for this lazy ass, and did he just say lazy to me? I never liked anyone calling me lazy; it ticked me off. Sanyara punched him to the wall, silencing him, and said, "Continue the conversation; he was being too loud, and he needed some love from me to calm down."
"She is scary," everyone noted to themselves upon seeing the scene. "Well, I knew it because my father once explained to me when I was little. It has nothing to do with me being a topper. It's just a hobby, you can say," Roselyn explained to us shyly. "Ouch!! Control your strength next time, my lovely sister." Arvyan said while crying, comedically holding onto his sister's leg.
The next moment, a stone erupted in the middle of the ground of the dorm, and a wooden plate was hung on it assigning students to their own room alongside their roommate. I entered my room with my own luggage and was surprised by its large space, and I began to tidy up the room. I was very lucky that my recent friends were assigned to rooms close to me. The structure of this dorm is very simple. It has 6 blocks (A, B, C, D, E, and F). Each block had 4 floors and 3 wings. Each wing has 4 rooms. According to the board displayed, Toshiro and Arvyan were roommates in my wing, and their room was in front of my room. I was annoyed and glad, also because Sanyara and Roselyn were assigned to the same wing beside Toshiro's room. If things go south with Arvyan, Sanyara was there to straighten things out. I was very satisfied with the arrangements. "Where is Tairo?" Toshiro asked, and I said, "Well, he is assigned to F block, unfortunately." I replied. "Well, that won't be an issue; we can communicate with him as F block is just opposite to us, and we can go there whenever we want and chat with him," Arvyan said. "But where is your roommate?" Sanyara asked me while fixing her hair. "Don't know. Maybe he is just lost, as the dorms are pretty big. Even the room beside my room is empty, maybe they are coming together, who knows," I replied while shrugging.
As I was lying on my bed, a knock sound came on my door. I went to open the door and was greeted by my new roommate. "Sorry for being late, I got lost and went into some trouble while coming to this side of the dorm." The black-haired guy with green pupils said, panting. I helped him with his luggage and said, assuring him, "Don't sweat it, I also got lost at some point. We will eventually get used to it."
"How foolish of me, I forgot to introduce myself. Well, my name is Kael Vasper," He said, smiling while I shook his hands.
