When I spotted my friends gathered near one of the tall crystal pillars, I walked over to them, lifting a hand in a casual wave.
"Remillia! You look stunning!" Whitney exclaimed the moment she saw me, her eyes lighting up as she practically bounced in place.
Angela's reaction was more restrained, but no less intense. Her gaze swept over me from head to toe, lingering on the cut of my dress and the careful way my hair was styled.
"Your clothes… did you buy them?" she asked skeptically.
"Of course," I replied simply, unfazed.
I didn't bother mentioning that I'd bought the dress from the system shop, nor that it had cost me an absurd amount of points—points I'd earned the hard way.
It was worth it, though.
The fabric wasn't just for show. Beneath the elegant exterior was a discreet layer of protective armor, light as silk yet strong enough to stop a blade.
