"Alright!" Ah Jiu agreed as he prepared to leave, but his phone suddenly rang. Puzzled, he answered the call and listened to his subordinate's report on the other end. His brow furrowed slightly, "Okay, I understand. I'll inform the gentleman right away."
"What's happened?" Leng Zimo asked, puzzled.
"The subordinates sent to monitor Luo Ke reported that he went to Shanghai yesterday and returned to Beijing this morning," Ah Jiu said.
"Shanghai?!" Leng Zimo frowned, "What for?"
"We haven't found out yet, but it shouldn't be business-related; otherwise, he wouldn't have returned after just one night," Ah Jiu mused briefly, "Do you think... it might have something to do with Madam?"
Luo Ke going to Shanghai wasn't unusual, but returning after just one night was odd. After all, if it were a business trip, the subordinates wouldn't have missed it. If it wasn't business-related, what was he doing?
