"You really haven't heard any news from the police about Hou Muyan's release?"
The man speaking was one of Madam Hou's subordinates. He turned on his phone's recording app to let Madam Hou hear the conversation.
"I really haven't heard anything! Hou Muyan killed my mom with his car, how could he possibly be released without charges?" The other person in the conversation was the deceased's son.
The deceased's son continued, "However, I heard from people at the police station that there has been new progress in that case. They arrested a new suspect, I heard he's involved in drug trafficking, and it's related to my mom's case.
That new suspect isn't going to take the fall for Hou Muyan, is he?"
"No way, even if the police caught a new suspect, it won't change the fact that Hou Muyan ran over your mom."
The deceased's son snorted and then asked, "I heard there were drugs found in the Young Marquis's car, were those drugs planted by you?"
