Snow continued falling gently over the path leading to the capital of the Snow Kingdom.
Strax walked leisurely among the pine trees, one hand in his pocket and the other holding Vex's hand. The little girl seemed incapable of staying still for more than five seconds.
She hopped from side to side, leaving tiny footprints in the snow. Occasionally, she created miniature ice platforms to cross a frozen puddle or simply to show that she could.
Strax watched everything with a faint smile.
"You still have energy after spending the entire day training?" Strax asked as he watched his daughter jump onto a small rock.
Vex turned her head.
"Of course! I'm a dragon, Daddy!" Vex replied, proudly raising her arms.
Strax laughed.
"Oh, that's right. How could I forget?" Strax remarked, shaking his head.
Vex smiled with satisfaction.
However, after a few more steps, the little girl began walking more slowly.
Strax immediately noticed.
"Tired?" Strax asked, looking at her.
