Chapter 67 - Reveal of sixth round

The dawn rose with tension. Kannan walked toward the venue, but the guard at the checking area blocked him. "You are not qualified for the fifth round."

Kannan replied firmly, "I am the 250th participant."

The guard sneered inwardly, Fake god or not, I'll stop him. But Olivia stepped forward. "He is qualified." The crowd murmured suspiciously, yet the guard relented.

Kannan thanked her. Olivia smirked, "I keep my promises. But remember—you owe me 100,000 D-coins."

The God Father's Declaration

The God Father announced, "Today's event is Wing Arts. Rear attachments may be used. Buy them at the stalls if needed."

Kannan thought, So this is just another way to sell goods under the guise of competition.

The performances dazzled the audience. The Petvan brothers glittered with radiant wings, dancing in the sky. Olivia performed gracefully, captivating gods and goddesses alike.

When Kannan took the stage, mockery filled the air. "He wears black, opposite of holy colors. He has no wings."

But Kannan spread his temporary wings, soaring with dazzling flips and swoops. By shifting between Hero Class and Witch King Class, his black garments glowed and darkened rhythmically. The audience was stunned.

The judges were amazed. "To improve wing arts to this extent is extraordinary." The Petvan family felt regret for discarding him, and the brothers felt inferior.

Aftermath

The competition ended. The Petvan family tried to recruit Kannan, but he refused. Subordinates followed him, but he tricked them. "Look, a white crow flying upside down." Distracted, they lost him.

At home, Dransart said, "I heard you rejected the Petvan family. That's enough for me."

Kannan replied, "If you abandon a chicken and later realize it is a dragon, it will never forget."

Dransart countered, "That's different. Even an infant dragon has reptile skin. Anyone can see it's a dragon."

Kannan explained, "If I joined them, they would destroy me as an obstacle. Even if I stayed, they'd discard me as a fake god."

The room grew awkward, and they slept early.

The Sixth Round

At dawn, Kannan checked the board. Only 75 participants remained. He met Olivia. "How are you, my sweetheart?"

She shivered. "I said I'd consider it, but I am not your fiancé."

Kannan apologized. "Sorry. But I love you."

Olivia blushed lightly. "I accept your apology." Technically, she accepted his proposal. Kannan grinned. "Now you are my fiancé, sweetheart!" He ran off to the venue.

Olivia smiled faintly. Let's see if you are qualified to marry me.

The Shocking Announcement

The God Father addressed the participants. "Best of luck. Those who win this round will receive a gift, even if they lose later."

The lottery box was drawn. The slip read: Last Round.

Shock rippled through the gods. "Last round? It never occurred before. Usually, great gods qualify through consecutive rounds. This time, the finale will decide the competition and reshape the God System."

Kannan thought, The last round came because I am destined to win. Dransart will seize the throne and change the system.

The lottery box revealed the trial: Overall Performance.

Despair filled the venue. "This favors the high holy potential families. We participated for nothing."

Thus, the competition reaches its climax.

The unprecedented Last Round will decide not only the Devil God but the fate of the God System itself. Kannan stands at the edge of destiny, with Olivia watching closely, and the high holy potential families trembling at the thought of their dominance being overturned.
