Gong Ye was much calmer and more composed than her...
Standing at the entrance to the courtyard leading to the beach, Gong Ye squatted down and swept the flashlight across the ground.
He then turned his head and looked at the sole of Hua Shiyu's shoe, arriving at a conclusion.
"Through comparison, it can be seen her footprints went this way..."
Gong Ye swept the flashlight beam over the area.
It seemed Hua Shiyu had been here earlier, but no human figure was visible.
"No way, there's no one there!"
"Look, these are your footprints. This should be hers, let's follow them and see..."
Gong Ye's insight was far superior to hers, with just a couple of sweeps of the flashlight he had a general idea, then got up and walked toward the sea.
Hua Shiyu had no choice but to follow closely behind him.
The skewed line of footprints extended all the way to where the sea met the beach.
On the water's surface, something shiny floated unpredictably.
