While the show was still in complete chaos, the sounds and atmosphere from the crowd appeared to have become almost one with the building itself.
As the action in the ring was taking off, Jett Calder had Brocke pinned in the Apex Predators' corner while kicking Brocke repeatedly in the chest. The sound of each kick echoed through the arena. Axel Vane stood on the apron and tagged in and out and utilized perfect timing in executing what appeared to be a textbook 2-in-1 tactic to keep the larger Titan isolated and away from any chance of making a comeback.
In the midst of all this noise, Noah was able to break it all down and stated, "What you're witnessing is what a textbook tag team move set looks like by the champions. They are taking away the power of the big man by grounding him."
Irvin smiled and nodded at Noah's comment. He added, "This is the blueprint to defeat size—quickness, tags, and no mercy."
Luke, who was standing, was shouting words of encouragement to Brocke as he was being kicked. "C'mon, Brocke! Keep going!"
Tony was also standing and clapping. "You can do it!"
Justin Hammer was on the edge of his seat jumping up and down and pumping his fists. "Yeah! Yeah! Break him down!"
Luke turned his head and looked at Justin. "You seem to be enjoying this just a tad too much."
Jett looked out, placed his boot on Brocke's chest, held his arms out wide soaking in the cheers, pointed and smirked at Gunnar on the apron then kicked Brocke in the ribs again.
"Enough showboating!" Irvin yelled. "A bad miss and that could cost him."
Jett was winding up for a kick to Brocke's head.
Just in time, Brocke ducked.
The kick went sailing by over the top of Brocke's head.
Surging up, Brocke delivered a massive right hand to Jett's chin as the crowd gasped. Jett fell to the canvas dazed, as Brocke dropped to one knee with a labouring chest and perspiration dripping from his forehead.
Axel was hanging over the top rope with his arm stretched out, yelling for the tag.
Across the ring, Gunnar was slamming his palm onto the turnbuckle pad while doing the same thing.
The crowd was chanting as one: TAG! TAG! TAG!
Brocke jumped toward Gunnar with his fingertips outstretched like he was going to tag him.
At the same time, Jett was crawling backward and tagging Axel's hand.
Both Brock and Jett tagged their players almost at the same time.
The arena erupted in response to the dual tagging.
Gunnar charged into the ring like a freight train and before Axel could get to his feet, Gunnar flattened him with a clothesline that had the power of thunder behind it. Axel immediately rose and was again taken down by Gunnar, then in the same manner immediately again.
Noah shouted, "Wow, Gunnar has lit up!"
Gunnar took Axel down again. Axel was dizzy and staggering, his arms flapping around like a windmill. Gunnar showed surprising agility for someone his size by ducking under Axel's left arm and driving his shoulder into Axel's stomach, folding him in half.
Now Luke and Tony were screaming and the crowd's cheers had drowned out their voices.
After Gunnar picked Axel up with one of his massive arms and threw Axel across the ring, Axel began to run back and bounced right into Gunnar becoming as the turnbuckle became his back, but right before that happened to him, Gunnar turned back around, noticing Jett running toward him with his body flying through the air upside-down, dropping him like a sack of potatoes to the ground below the outside of the ring.
The crowd was going absolutely bananas.
As if that wasn't enough, Gunnar didn't turn fast enough to see Jett had only taken a few steps toward him after falling on the ground; at that time, Brocke charged toward him without hesitation.
He ran through him like a freight train would go through a baseball player.
Both of them crashed to the outside of the ring like a two-car accident. The camera showed Jett writhing in agony on the ground holding his side while Brocke was sprawled out on the ground, and his body was still heaving up and down as he gasped for air from exhaustion.
Once inside the ring, Axel took his time to regain his footing and focus on the situation around him.
Gunnar made his way back to the middle of the ring and was shaking his head as he advanced on Axel with a full sprint.
At the last instant, Axel ducked under the punch.
A second afterwards, Gunnar threw an uppercut at Axel's head.
An explosive shot to the gut took out Gunnar's breath and caught him off guard. Axel took Gunnar and pushed him into the ropes, right in time for him to rebound off of them. Axel jumped into the air, made a 180-degree turn while in the air, and executed a spinning kick on the side of Gunnar's face.
The audience gasped.
Gunnar dropped to the mat in a heap.
Axel nearly fell down, but he grabbed hold of the ropes to stabilize himself. His breathing was heavy, but he still managed to make it to the corner. He climbed the ringpost and put his arms in the air.
"WHOO!" Axel Screamed at the top of his lungs.
Some of the crowd responded with cheers, others with jeers, and some with both, as Axel flipped himself over the edge of the ropes.
He splashed onto Gunnar's body, settling himself against his chest and hooking his leg.
"1!"
"
"2!"
"3!"
The 3 Count Signal sounded.
Noah let out a huge breath of relief. "They did it! The Apex Predators are still the Champions!"
Brocke pounded the mat beside him with his fists from his knees, as he looked on in disbelief while the referee made the official motion that the match was over. The look on Gunnar's face was one of total frustration as he lay flat on his back looking straight up at the ceiling lights.
As Axel rolled off and held his ribs, Jett was re-entering the ring unsteadily. They hugged before pulling their championship belts off the floor, then Axel wrapped his arm around Jett's shoulders as they walked backwards up the ramp holding their titles up in the air.
Justin Hammer stood up and went insane. "Wow! YES! I TOLD YOU!"
Luke looked Savage. "Jett should never been able to interfere in this match when he wasn't even tagged into the match."
Tony said in a very calm tone "It doesn't matter, they are still champions. They won fair and square."
Luke didn't seem to be satisfied by that response.
The Steel Titans continued to gather together slowly. Brocke helped Gunnar to his feet and they exchanged looks that clearly communicated they would not stop competing until they had a rematch.
Officials quickly cleared the ring and prepared for the next segment.
Noah changed his tone and said to the audience, "Don't go anywhere, fans, the next match is a women's match."
The audience was overwhelmingly against Maya Hart when her entrance music played.
As Maya started down the entrance ramp, she had an icy stare and a determined look while wearing her required wrestling attire. With no emotion, Maya continued to walk directly into the ring despite being showered with negative comments from the audience.
Michelle McCool was reintroduced as Maya's opponent after a four-month absence. The audience erupted with excitement when Michelle came through the curtain with a huge smile on her face and bouncing blonde hair as she bounced down the entrance ramp.
Michelle wore a cheerleader style outfit, which consisted of short skirt-type trunks, a fitted top that was a bit revealing, and knee-high boots, waving her arms enthusiastically at the crowd and blowing kisses to them while loving the attention she was receiving.
Tony moved a bit closer in appreciation, "Wow, that's impressive."
Luke sarcastically replied, "You are hopeless." After sliding into the ring, Michelle was bouncing on her toes, clapping her hands, playing to the audience, and appearing to show excitement about being in the ring at that moment.
The bell rang.
Maya didn't wait.
She charged forward and took Michelle down with a hard shoulder tackle, immediately asserting control as the crowd erupted into boos.
And just like that, the match was underway.
