Valentine Teller opened her eyes and the first person she saw was Turstin Muller.
Her mind felt like mush, remembering nothing.
"Who are you?" Her voice was hoarse, like a parched desert.
Turstin gently fed her some water with a dropper before speaking, "I'm your husband, you had a car accident."
"Oh…" Valentine pursed her lips, staring blankly at this gentle-faced man.
She couldn't remember anything.
She didn't know her own name, nor who she was.
It was as if she had dreamed a long, long dream.
But upon waking from the dream, she remembered nothing.
"How long have I slept?"
"A month." Turstin asked gently, "Do you want to go outside and soak up some sun?"
"The sun..."
Valentine turned her head, seeing the bright, clear sky outside, her heart inexplicably stirred: "Okay."
The sun looked so warm.
Turstin carefully picked Valentine up, as thin as gossamer, holding her did not feel like much.
He carried Valentine to the garden, laying her on a specially made recliner.
