Sara Quiles comforted Valentine Teller, "Sis, don't be upset. I believe in Mark. He'll definitely convince his mom to accept you. Being apart for a while might be good for both of you."
"Mhm." Valentine squeezed out a smile, looking at her adorable sister, feeling much better.
"Sis…" Sara hesitated.
"Hmm?"
Valentine looked puzzled at Sara. Why call her and then say nothing?
It seemed like there was something troubling her.
Sara gathered the courage to speak, "Sis, does Mark's mom not accept you because you lost the baby to save me before?"
"No, that's not it. You're overthinking." Valentine looked at the kind-hearted Sara and smiled helplessly, "His mom thinks I'm not good enough for him."
"How could you be not good enough? Dad is a prominent figure. Maybe we should let Dad talk to Mark's mom and see if she can be persuaded." Sara kindly suggested.
"Forget it, no need to do that."
Valentine didn't want her surrogacy to be exposed.
