Valentine narrowed her eyes and curled her lips. "I still think the cool older-sis vibe suits me better. From now on don't make me laugh, I'm going to keep walking the icy-queen route."
Mark Reed slanted his shoulder and stood beside Valentine, eyes hazy as he struck a pose.
He asked, "Is your husband handsome or not?"
"I've seen you too much, I can't tell anymore."
Valentine stared dazedly at Mark's serious, aloof look. Back then it was exactly this face that had bewitched her so badly she'd forgotten her own surname.
It was only after they got together that Valentine discovered Mark actually had a warm side; the cold aloofness was just a disguise for outsiders.
"Hm?" Mark turned and wrapped his arms around Valentine's waist, his nose pressed to hers. His long arms suddenly tightened, pulling her even closer to him. "Look carefully. Am I handsome or not?"
"Not handsome!"
Valentine held back a laugh and deliberately argued with Mark.
