Rong Yan stood behind Ming Mei and said, "You're the most beautiful bride, today my daughter and son will be your flower children."
Ming Mei felt a warm glow inside. For her, the wedding had long ceased to be important. The life she wanted had arrived, she had a son, and he was healthy. She had no regrets.
She truly didn't care about the wedding, even up to now she didn't, but... she was happy about Kang Chen's intentions. She was glad he had never broken a promise to her.
Maybe for all women, the wedding itself isn't important; what matters is the promise he makes at the wedding and, more importantly, how he treats her as a person.
No wonder he's seemed so tired these past couple of weeks, having to take care of both work and wedding preparations, probably without any time to rest.
Ming Mei asked Rong Yan through her veil, "Can we go now?"
Rong Yan joked, "So eager to see your groom, huh."
Ming Mei wasn't shy at all, she nodded, "Yes, I can't wait."
