"Did you miss me? Daddy hasn't come home for several days! Today, it's just Aunty Xi and me at home!" Ding Baobei nodded repeatedly, "Daddy, are you still busy?"
"Just you and Aunty Xi at home? Where's Mom?" Ding Long was stunned, then looked over at Ding Jinshi sitting by the dining table.
"Mom went to work! She called me at noon, even coaxed me to take a nap, and she brought me cake. Daddy, let's eat together!" Ding Baobei pulled Ding Long inside and didn't stop until they reached the dining table.
"You've gone back to work?" Ding Long asked, "Why didn't you tell me in advance?"
After her maternity leave, Ding Jinshi took a long leave, but how long, Ding Long didn't know. He also didn't know when her workplace urged her to return, or when she actually went back to work.
"It's my business." The implication was that it had nothing to do with him.
