Chapter 81 - base 101 meeting

Morning arrived peacefully over Base 101.

Golden sunlight spilled across the kingdom.

Workers had already returned to the Industrial District.

The sound of hammers echoed through the streets.

Smoke drifted from the Advanced Forge.

Soldiers resumed their morning drills.

Life...

Had returned to normal.

Yet everyone knew...

Nothing was the same anymore.

Base 101 was no longer just another survivor settlement.

It was humanity's first Silver Kingdom.

---

At the highest point of the fortress...

The Mana Crystal Golem stood motionless.

Like a silent guardian.

Its violet soul flames slowly burned within its crystal eyes as it overlooked the kingdom below.

Children playing in the streets occasionally looked up and waved.

The giant responded with a slow nod.

Fear...

Had already begun turning into admiration.

---

Inside the Command Hall...

A long stone table occupied the center of the room.

The banners of Base 101 hung proudly from the walls.

One by one...

The leaders of the kingdom entered.

Ben.

Zora.

Leon.

Runa.

Mira.

Kael.

George.

Doran.

Each took their usual seat.

Finally...

Sam entered.

Every captain immediately stood.

"Commander."

Sam smiled.

"At ease."

Everyone sat.

Inside his mind...

Rex spoke.

Commander...

All department leaders are present.

The first council meeting may begin.

Sam nodded.

"Let's hear the reports."

---

Ben stood first.

The Vanguard Captain placed several documents on the table.

"The infantry now numbers over one thousand trained soldiers."

"Our veterans have begun training the newest recruits."

"The soldiers' morale has never been higher."

He smiled.

"The victory over the Regional Boss inspired everyone."

Sam nodded.

"Excellent work."

---

Next...

Zora stood.

"The Mage Corps has begun researching the Mana Crystals recovered from the valley."

She placed several glowing crystal fragments onto the table.

"Their mana purity exceeds our expectations."

"We believe they'll allow us to create stronger barriers, improve spell efficiency, and power future magical facilities."

Sam looked at the crystals.

"Proceed with the research."

---

George stood next.

Several large maps covered the table.

"The Industrial District is progressing ahead of schedule."

He pointed toward the map.

"The additional construction speed granted by our Silver Kingdom bonus is already noticeable."

"The first manufacturing workshops will be completed within days."

He smiled proudly.

"Our builders have never worked this efficiently."

---

Doran stood beside him.

He carefully placed a glowing Mana Crystal onto the table.

"This..."

"...changes everything."

He looked around the room.

"Ordinary steel has carried us this far."

"It won't carry us into the future."

He unrolled several weapon designs.

"I'll begin forging mana equipment immediately."

"Every captain will receive equipment designed specifically for their combat style."

Kael grinned.

"Now you're talking."

The room laughed.

---

Runa stood.

"The Archer Corps has expanded to three full companies."

"Our accuracy continues improving."

She glanced toward Leon.

"The Shadow Scouts have also begun sharing reconnaissance methods with my archers."

Leon gave a small nod.

"The better they understand scouting..."

"...the easier it is for us to coordinate."

Runa smiled.

"Our cooperation has already improved battlefield efficiency."

Ben noticed the exchange.

A faint grin appeared on his face.

Zora quietly hid a smile behind her hand.

Neither said a word.

---

Mira stood next.

"The Healing Corps has doubled in size."

"Using the Mana Crystals, we're developing stronger restorative potions."

She looked around the room.

"Our greatest victory isn't defeating monsters."

"It's bringing our people home alive."

Everyone nodded.

---

Kael stood.

"The Spear Corps has completed advanced formation training."

"We're ready to support both the Vanguard and the Scouts during large-scale battles."

He smirked at Leon.

"Though I still can't hit him."

Leon answered calmly.

"Keep trying."

Laughter spread through the hall once more.

---

Finally...

Leon stood.

The room became quiet.

"The Shadow Scouts completed a full patrol of the surrounding territory before returning."

He placed a hand-drawn map on the table.

"Our borders remain secure."

He pointed toward several marked locations.

"We've eliminated three monster nests."

"Established hidden observation posts."

"And mapped several unexplored routes."

Sam studied the map.

"Anything unusual?"

Leon's expression became serious.

"...Yes."

The room fell silent.

"We've begun finding signs of organized movement beyond our borders."

"No banners."

"No camps."

"No obvious settlements."

"But..."

He looked directly at Sam.

"Someone is watching us."

Silence filled the Command Hall.

Inside his mind...

Rex spoke.

Commander...

Leon has reached the same conclusion as my surveillance analysis.

Unknown forces have entered the region.

Identity... currently unknown.

Sam slowly folded his hands.

"Increase reconnaissance."

Leon nodded.

"Already underway."

---

Before anyone could speak again...

A guard hurried into the Command Hall.

He immediately saluted.

"Commander!"

"A diplomatic caravan has arrived outside the western gate."

"They're requesting permission to enter Base 101."

The captains exchanged surprised glances.

George frowned.

"Diplomats?"

Ben folded his arms.

"We've never received diplomats before."

Rex's calm voice echoed inside Sam's mind.

Commander...

It appears humanity has begun responding to your victory.

Sam slowly stood.

A faint smile crossed his face.

"Let's welcome our guests."

Outside the Command Hall...

The future of Base 101 had already arrived.
