Chapter 133 - 00133. A slight miscalculation.

Marcus found the only real downside to traveling in his new little speed boat was proper rest. It was designed with bench seats so he could lay down on those, but he should have added spots to hang a hammock. He didn't think about it during the design or testing process because he was focused on making it as fast as possible. Plus it wasn't meant for long term travel, but instead for short island hops that would only take a day with the ship's speed. The ship also didn't have a bathroom, so the only way to go was off the back of the boat…

Unfortunately, Marcus decided to travel straight towards Wano and was now somewhere in the New World with nothing around. Marcus had traveled for an entire day and night from Punk Hazard without seeing another island or even a ship he could possibly get information from. Marcus waited until the second night at sea before he finally stopped traveling and laid down to try and get some rest. And with his ship's small size and it having no proper sail, Marcus wasn't really concerned about being spotted while he slept.

When Marcus woke up the next morning he found himself still in the middle of nowhere. But he did spot a ship far off in the distance that he could possibly get information from. While Marcus didn't really need information, it would be nice to know how far he traveled. Marcus found out the normal travel time between Punk Hazard and well known islands before he left just so he could figure it out. Marcus didn't waste much time once he saw the ship and set course for it as he snacked on some of his dried food.

The ship that was once a small dot on the horizon quickly grew larger as Marcus's ship sped towards it. What should have taken an hour was barely ten minutes as Marcus pushed the ship's top speed. The ship itself was massive and Marcus clearly saw a pirate flag raised above the main mast. But it was one he didn't recognize as he closed in on them.

The people on the ship weren't slacking off either as the ship turned slightly as Marcus approached while cannons were aimed towards his boat. Marcus didn't want to get shot at, so he quickly changed course to make it harder for them. When he finally got close enough he slipped around behind them and came up on the aft of their ship where no cannons were as he slowed down.

A handful of crew were already there with guns pointed at his ship, but Marcus paid them no mind as he stepped out of the covered cockpit with his sword on his hip and yelled, "Ahoy there! Would you be able to tell me what islands are close by? I'm a little lost and trying to get my bearings."

All the men on the aft deck looked at Marcus with a hint of caution as one of them called out, "You're in Big Mom's territory, kid… Who are you and what are you doing here?"

"Totto Land… Do you know what island is close by?"

A gun shot went off as a bullet struck the water behind Marcus before the same man raised his voice, "I asked you a question, boy!"

Marcus calmly picked at his ear while his right hand tightened around his sword as he said, "And I asked you a question first which you didn't answer properly."

The man adjusted his aim to point his gun at Marcus's head as he said, "Tell me who you are, we don't have time for games."

Another man appeared next to the railing and glanced at Marcus for a few moments before he said, "He isn't one of the boss's kids, just forgot about him."

The man glanced over his shoulder as he yelled, "Raise full sails again! We can't be late with the delivery!"

The man turned to look at Marcus before he said, "I'm not sure where you came from, but get out of here kid. An emperor's territory isn't a place for you to play around."

"What's the closest island?" Marcus asked with a frown.

The man he assumed was the captain pointed the way they were originally headed as he said, "Milenge island is the closest place to here."

Marcus relaxed the hand on his sword as he said, "Thanks!"

Marcus didn't waste any time and jumped back into his cabin before he took off. As his ship climbed out of the water and sped off, the man who shot at him asked, "Why did you let him go captain?"

The captain punched the man in the jaw which knocked him to the ground as he yelled, "What did I tell you about asking me before you did anything?!?"

The man rubbed his jaw as he indignantly said, "He was just some punk kid."

"A kid with a weird, crazy fast boat who didn't show a single sign of fear at the mention of Big Mom. He's either part of the crew or has a backer that's similar to Big Mom." The captain said with a frown as he watched Marcus's boat get smaller and turn into a small dot.

As Marcus adjusted his course towards Wano he realized he traveled over a week in one day and he wasn't even going full speed. If he went full speed he might have traveled that distance in only eight hours which was crazy. He was starting to love his speed boat and couldn't wait till he could rebuild his original ship.

Marcus spent the whole day and part of the night as sped towards Wano before he stopped to rest again. With his speed it would only take another full day of travel to reach it and he still needed to wait for Shanks call before he could go there.

Marcus woke up to the ringing of his den den mushi sometime before dawn. When he picked it up Shanks said, "You better be close, I just pulled Kiado and his top hitters from Wano."

"I'm about a day away." Marcus said as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

"I'll keep them busy for a couple days, but after that you better be gone… I'll call you once they break off pursuit."

"Okay, thanks Shanks. I'll try and steal some of Kaido's alcohol for you while I'm there." Marcus said as he went to hang up the call.

"You bett-" Was all Shanks got out before the line went dead. He stared at the snail for a moment before he said, "That little punk…"

After Marcus hung up, he checked the pose for Wano before he started up his ship. Instead of doing one third of the speed, Marcus cranked it up to full speed and felt a noticeable drain on his stamina. He decided to reach the area of Wano as soon as possible and then rest before he entered it through climbing the koi waterfall.

It was a couple hours after sunrise when Marcus's snail started ringing again. As soon as he picked it up Garp asked, "Where the hell did you go?"

"I'm a few hours from Wano. Why what's up grandpa?"

"You brat! I came to visit you and you left!" Garp said before there was a pause and he asked, "Wait, what are you doing near Wano?!?"

"I'm going to make a new friend and help her escape the island."

"You're going to Kaido's territory, brat… He might kill you or capture you. If he does either one I won't come help you." Garp said in an indifferent tone.

"It's fine, Shanks and his crew are keeping Kaido and his crew busy for the next few days." Marcus said as he checked his course and turned the ship slightly.

"What?!? Damn it, now Sengoku is gonna call me and make me work!" Garp said as another den den mushi in the background started to ring.

"That's probably him now!" Garp complained as the line went dead.

Marcus glanced at his phone before he shrugged and said to himself, "You could just ignore him, you've done it before."

A few more hours passed before Marcus finally saw the first sign of his destination on the horizon and he started to slow down. Surprisingly he wasn't that drained from using his ship at full speed for hours on end. But he still wanted to rest up and regain his stamina before he attempted his climb. As Marcus approached closer to the island he noticed the massive gray colored wall that kind of reminded him of the Red Line.

There were many small rock formations that jutted out from the water surrounding the massive wall. Most of them had a small tree or two on them but a few were larger and even had grass on them in patches. Marcus slowed his boat more once he neared the wall itself and slowly started to travel around it as he searched for the proper entrance. He knew there were two of them and planned to use the harder one to enter before he used the easier one to exit. Well that was his first plan, but he had no idea if it would work properly.

While Marcus recovered, he slowly sailed around the island until he started to run into small whirlpools. It made it harder to navigate, but it also meant Marcus was closer to his intended destination. Marcus traveled for another five minutes before he finally saw it as the water around him became more dangerous. The waterfall was massive and he could see monstrous koi fish as they jumped up the waterfall.

Marcus moved closer to the area of the waterfall before he stopped near one of the rock out croppings. He anchored his ship to the rocks before he sat down to study the waterfall and the fish. He knew that the proper way to enter was to tie off to a fish and be carried up. But as Marcus watched he had an idea that might work because of the unique way his ship moved.

He wasn't completely sure if it would work, but he decided to go for it once he was fully rested. After an hour of watching and studying the waterfall, Marcus finally stood up and returned to his ship. After disconnecting his ship, he jumped inside the cabin and headed straight for the middle of the waterfall. As he approached he had to dodge a few whirlpools, but his small ship made it easy and within minutes he was almost under it.

Marcus killed the power to his ship and as it slowed down he jumped out of the cabin as he coated his right arm in haki. Marcus focused all his power into his fist as he stood at the bow of his boat before he punched at the water in front of him. The pressure wave from the punch blasted a massive hole into the water near where the waterfall landed. As Marcus rushed back into his cabin, he locked it before he gripped his sword with both hands as his boat was pulled into the hole by the water.

As his boat rushed into the hole he created, Marcus powered up his boat and steered to the side as he watched the water. As the waters crashed into the hole to fill it, it created waves that flowed outwards and Marcus used one as his starting point. As his boat tilted upwards with the large wave, Marcus slammed his boat to full power as he aimed straight at the waterfall.

The speed was close to instant as he was slammed back into his seat as his boat rocketed forward. A moment later the boat launched off the top of the wave and flew towards the waterfall. Marcus couldn't see if his plan was working correctly at first, but as his ship hit the waterfall and started to climb up it he let out unrestrained laughter. Marcus almost felt like an astronaut in a rocket as he was pushed into his seat while he climbed higher.

As he climbed, massive koi fish jumped out of the waterfall next to him a few times. Marcus had no way to avoid the fish and hoped they wouldn't hit his boat by accident. But if it happened he planned to abandon his boat if needed and use geppo to climb the rest of the way. Luckily that didn't happen and Marcus's boat rocketed all the way up. The only thing Marcus didn't account for was how fast he was going when he reached the top.

Marcus's ship was like a rocket ship as it launched out of the waterfall and into the air of Wano. As the boat started to tilt in the air, Marcus cut power to his sword and after half a minute he lifted out of his seat. As Marcus floated weightless in the air, the boat slowly flipped and he could finally see the water below him. Marcus's eyes widened and almost popped out of his head as he saw he was thousands of feet in the air.

The boat started to fall back towards the water of Wano as Marcus yelled, "FUUUUUUUUUUUCK!"
