It was as if her voice became mute, she looked around the dark as if seeing an unseen presence, tapping her hands in the air she let out a small laugh, continuing, seemingly provoked
"Good, Good, very good (her anger causing the small cave to shake), My children reach remove your brother's and sister's from shadow's, pull the shroud from their eyes they have slept in the dark, for far, far too long"
"Drink..., Drink, deeply from the life of this fragile world. Let those frail mortals look upon you and finally understand what true hunger is"
Derick and Cassandra their heads bowed nodded,
"Yes Great Mother"
both with their heads down turned and left never once looking at the statue
"At least they're smarter than the other children, after some time apart their Ego start to grow, "sigh...." the pain of being a mother"
then the statue turned its head and and looked up at the ceiling its eyes seemed to see beyond it, unto the clouds and beyond them speaking softly her voice a whisper in the cave
"soon, soon the time is coming, when stars alig...."
the statue muttered before closing its eyes as if speaking seemed to take all strength, no seemed to have heard her but in unseen places vague presences seemed to steer in response to her words.
Derick and Cassandra walked through the woods and climbed the ladder up to the tree house where they found Ethan his head bowed and eyes closed seemingly in contemplation
