Lucas turned back to Jack with a smile on his eyes, then turned away, the mack of words after the amused glint in the golden eyes saying all there was to say.
Despite having expected something like that, Jack froze. The corner of his mouth twitched, and for a moment, his expression resembled that of an unloved kid, a kid disappointed after not receiving any gift at his birthday, before everything melted into a helpless smile.
